So should we start stockpiling in preparation for the ban?

What does V2, Blu, Njoy have in common? Pre-filled, expensive, crappy tasting cartomizers. That's what they want you to buy. Maybe not a ban, but regulated.

V2.... ugh. They were my first venture into ecigs. Lasted maybe two weeks before I was back to smoking Marlboros. What a waste of money that was

They won't ban the sale of e-nic anymore than the government has been able to ban the sale of rolling or pipe tobacco. The only restrictions that there will be are relating to age and marketing.

V2 sells juice and clearos; I'm sure that will be the next step for BLU, as well. Njoy will probably be next.

You should notify CASAA that they can rest easy.

should I be stockpiling batteries, tanks, and atomizers? I understand it's possible to mix your own juice, how difficult is that?

I beleive in being prepared, for any eventuality. Whether it's a natural disaster, war, economic collapse, solar flares, or freakin' zombies. I've personally lived without personal potable water, food, and electricity for 5 weeks. Relying on the government for assistance sucks.

Consequently I also make my own juice, not just for the preparation aspect but also the cost and personal satisfaction. This week the spousal unit and I are making a huge batch of unflavored nic juice base, which we will store until needed. Should anything bad happen I know that our nicotine addictions will survive along with us.

Making juice is easy and quite fun. There are many e-juice tutorials online.

I had been thinking about this very topic - stockpiling things like atomizer heads and such, in anticipation of it being harder to obtain the items I need without going through a foreign or international vendor. That said, I do think everyone is right in that the only thing that could potentially be regulated here is the nicotine...

If the nicotine is regulated, I can imagine that juice supplies will dry up very fast - and the only ones authorized to sell would be selling pre-filled disposable cartomizers. That's how I got into e-cigs, with a cheap modular e-cigarette that used the prefilled cartos. As soon as I realized there was a cheaper way, I went with it... if the FDA gets their way, it will force us all back to the expensive pre-filled cartos unless we import stuff from foreign vendors.

I also wonder what will happen to all the vapor stores that have opened up? They are sprouting like mushrooms out here - almost as common as Starbucks now. Is the FDA really willing to put a large contingent of businesses in a position of forcing them to stop their primary activities? Selling juices, tanks, and such. It's a concern... but as more of these businesses pop up, it'll become harder and harder for the FDA to justify activity - other than starting to regulate and tax e-juice...

I've only been vapping about a month but haven't needed analogues since the switch, funny thing is I can't stand the taste of them now.

Anyway back to topic, I have been trying various juices so have loads of 10ml sample and I've buying the ones I really like in bigger bottles.

I got myself some silica wick and the wire to rebuild my heads in my mini Nova and evod and have had some success. Its been a fun journey.

My next task maybe is to learn how to make my own juice. The ultimate goal is to get to the point where I can loose the nic all together. I'm down to 6-12mg. If I can achieve that and am able to make great tasting nic free juice I'll be happy. Time will tell.

Banning can be only good for smuglers. Only gives people whatever they can find. This is always so if it worked alcohol bans would be sound. You can find alcohol in very strict places just tell me about money.
But with e-cigs it is complicated.
anyone can find ingredients of a liquid they cant ban glycerin, glicol and nicotine
anyone can make a mod
anyone can make a clearo
This is why they cant legalize and put tax on e-cigs
On the other hand big tobacco do not like the spreading of e-cigs
So best is to produce e-cigs themselves.
Again it is not very profitable because of they cant tax and they cant over price
so dont be afraid we know how to make e-cigs

Until we see the proposed regulations no knows that they will look like, all we can do is guess. The one thing that is guaranteed, is that whatever they say, our vaping world will never be the same as it is today. How much our vaping world changes all depends on what those proposed regulations say. It will be many months after any proposed changed are made before any changes actually go into effect.

The FDA does not have the power to outright ban ecigs BUT through regulations they could, if they wish, produce almost the same effect as banning for the general public. We here with all our modding are not the general public, for most of us here, our vaping will survive whatever regulations the FDA comes up with. But surviving isn't the same thing as enjoying the vaping world as we know it today with all the options readily available to us in both hardware and juices supply.

IMO, ANY proposed changes in the way we get our vaping supplies today will send the vaping world into panic purchasing way beyond anything we've seen up to this point. Every year in Feb/Mar after the Chinese New York MANY people complain about vendors being out of stock and having to wait to get their supplies. There are a lot of angry vaporers at that time of year because they cant easily get what they want when they want it. Avoiding any panic purchasing by having at least a few months stash on hand could be worthwhile for many people.

IF the proposed regulations make major changes to our purchasing vendor juice containing nic (which is a likely change to expect with any regulations IMO) please try to imagine for a minute the rush on stockpiling people will do of their favorite vendor juices and on the purchase of NIC for DIY. Learning how to DIY and obtaining a supply of nic for ones freezer IMO is a good idea. Even if regulations don't make getting nic juice difficult or dont happen for many more months to come one can still easily do DIY and use what they've purchased without wasting any money.

I don't think any one should create a vaping stash just for the fact of creating a stash without giving what they are putting into their stash a lot of thought BUT I do beleive having a well thought out vaping stash that one knows they will use no matter what happens in the future makes a lot of sense. :)
