You guys are killing me here, cant wait to get my paws on my G-tanks ,,, hopefully tomorrow, tomorrow, tomorrow, I've also been wondering if small strands of the XC-116 could be wrapped either on the inside or outside only up higher than where the mesh wick goes down into the hole and how that would work out, or if there was any room to get some down low would be good to maybe, as long as it could be kept really wet I would think it could be good, otherwise not. If anyone has any of this can you give it a try ?

I don't know about wrapping the steel, but in one of my G-Tanks I un-braided so XC-116 and used it for the wick. It is performing better than the steel. The steel is great but I like the ceramic better.

Just did another build. I am finding the weak spot for mine is the connector and the 's' wire. If I screw the connector all the way down, I loose power, so in order to power the unit I have to slightly unscrew it. I am guessing maybe it is slightly too long and the pressure of the tightening is causing the 's' wire to disconnect from the positive post?
Tomorrow I may try creating a new wire with my silver wire.
Got it going nicely again, I'll see how long it last this time.
I am also finding I am wrapping 6 wraps to get 2.0ohms, probably because the wick diameter is smaller than on my hybrid?

The centre post is held in with the insulator and the "S" wire, and I have found its very easy to push the centre post up and end up with an open circuit unlike Braz who is getting a short, so I put a 510 connector on the G Tank checked the resistance was there and leave it on , it looks good on the GGTS, but not so good on other mods. going to try and fix it in solid with the centre post of the G Tank protruding very slightly which I think will sort it out

try useing a small washer at the longer post , when you wrap your coil wire around it ,slide it between the washer and sleeve, so that when turning the screwhead to tighten the coil in place, the coil shouldnt pull the mesh to the post.
also , when i put the rope through hole to tank,i made two loops and wraped the coil around it about four times, first, making sure that the peices of rope was long enough so i can wrap the coil and have plenty of stringer to thread it into tank, then i attached coil to srew pins and put some drops of eliguid on it . then i wrapped 3/4" of the rope ends with some mesh , squeeeeezed and rolled it really tight then slid through the hole pulling it through til the slack was all out and i screwed on the atty cover, then i cut the rope , the length of the tank, filled tank , put rest of it together then vaped.

Got #1 fired up. Easy to build getting lost of vapor and flavor, The wick is still braking in so I think it will get nothing but better from here out.

I missed a step in preparing the mesh I did not boil it and will most likely start over some time this weekend.

I will say this is much simpler then I first thought it would be. The Draw is nice not to loss and not to tight works well for me.

This is a well done build and well worth the wait. IMO much simpler to build and adjust then my Iatty.
