I thought the same thing, it would have been much more durable out of stainless, but maybe more expensive to machine.
There is that too, but I think it puts less stress on the mod if it is brass and also the male end of the connector.
Ok got the prototype done for the new G-Tank Connector center pin, just need to tap the hole with an M2 tap:
Should have the tap in a day or two.

Ok got the M2 tap in today here is a pic of it in place:
Works like a charm, very solid connection! Seems to vape alot better.
I had to cut about a 1/16" off the M2 screw, but it works like a charm!
