Want to kick the habit.
Thought I would try ecigs. Holy smokes was I surprised with all the options!
More I read the more confused I get!
Please...simplify this for me! LOL

I want to get 2 setups one for me and one for my GF.
Budget is about 100$ per complete setup (or less!). I dont want to buy something and instantly wish I spent more.
Simple is good.

Almost ordered 2 of these... But I am really just shooting blind. Please school me!!!! Is this a good setup? Bad? I dont want huge honking things...but I dont want to have to refill and charge multiple times a day either! And something that I can tweak once I get my head wrapped around all this down the road would be better than something that will go on a shelf! Noticed that there are no directions supplied with this kit...am I going to be able to figure it out LOL?

Item Name:Spinner/Twist Ego VV tank Combo
Item Price:$69.95
Options:
Battery #1:Joye Ego-C Twist 650mAh - Black
Battery #2:Joye Ego-C Twist 1000mAh - Black

Cartomizer #2:Kanger EVOD eGo Clearomizer - Black
1 of 801901510-W2USB: Wall to USB Converter

That is a pretty good kit to start out with and has everything you'll need except juice. I don't know if it's the best price around, but it's not far off.

Everything should be easy to use. To see how to fill a clearomizer, Google it and you'll find vids on YouTube. The batteries screw into the charger, there's only one way that goes. Don't overtighten anything - clearo to battery or battery to charger.

Best of luck with it!

I wouldn't buy two full kits personally... If I were you (and that's what my mom did when she started two weeks ago) I would get the kit, then an additional spinner batt (she went with the vision spinner 1300 mAh), maybe an additional clearo / tank and some juice. Spinners are a good way to start though!

Woops! Didn't read that you needed two kits since it's for two people... I would still go with the 1300 mAh spinners though, they last a good while before you have to charge.

Good luck!

Welcome! Boy do I know what you mean! I was so overwhelmed! Took me a month of researching and talking to my son before I decided what to get. I'm a newbie so I can only tell you my very little knowledge. I ended up buying 2 eGo Twists 1000mah & 2 Mini ViVi Novas, an ego rapid usb charger and wall charger at myvaporstore.com. I then went to vermillionriverejuice.com on my son's recommendation and ordered their Kentucky Applewood and K-max ejuice-which I love! I wanted to buy something that would last a while and kept a charge. I was a pack and a half a day smoker for 50 years. I quit the day I got my kit. One Twist battery lasts me about a day and a half. I bought 2 so I could have one charged at all times. I didn't know how long they lasted. I get great vapor and awesome flavor from the ViVi Novas and plan on buying at least 2 more to keep different flavors of ejuice in. I also bought 2 Kanger T3s and they are fine. I feel they produce a cooler vapor and I prefer the warmer vapor from the Novas. They are also a little more airy. But this is preference. I'm sure the more experienced members will give you more insight. Good luck and again, welcome.

Get the tank and carto instead of the clearomizer. I had a really hard time trying to switch until I had the setup you describe with a tank and carto.

Hit up a local vape shop and try some flavors out. Start with some good juice that you've tested.

Trust me, you'll quit! I tried for 15 years and this is all that's ever worked for me.

That looks like the one from MyVaporStore, very nice kit, and like you have already found out, somewhat customizable. Pretty much everything you need except the juice. If you have figured out enough to looking at kits like that, you shouldn't have much problem getting it to work. There is a lot information on here about both the Twist/Spinner, and the two types of Kanger clearos you have chosen. With the Twist/Spinner position the dial at the bottom at a low voltage and work your way up until you find the voltage you like for your juice/clearo combination.

Check this link for instructions on filling your clearos, https://www.myvaporstore.com/v/vspfiles/assets/images/kangert3ht.jpg

And don't be afraid to ask questions, you have found a great site with many helpful people. I really believe you are off to a great start.

Looks like a good kit, spinners would be another similar option. You may want to get one other type of clearo though, maybe a Kanger T2. Both the T3 and EVOD are bottom coil, and I love my T3s but you may want to try a top coil just to see how you like it. Top coils would be the T2 or a stardust/CE5

I think the OP's choices are good but with juices I would suggest buying in small quantities to see what he/she likes then move on. When I first started gaping I only looked at the flavors available at only one store, and they had about 50... but their bottles were 15ml so I hunted for smaller quantities online.

It's hard for me to suggest something because vaping, at least to me is like dining out. Everyone has particular tastes and what seems good to 15 people may not be for 1 or 2 individuals. It's a constant trial and error quest to find what each of us likes.

The Ego Twist is a pretty good model, it's simple and it works nicely for novices and the experienced. Not everyone may appreciate a VV mod (to me VV is more about someone who's really hunting for the best experience/taste from vaping) but I believe most vapers will eventually try VV mods at some point. Some non-VV mods like the Volcano Inferno are simple, no vari voltage, works well enough for most people, and has enough capacity for most to make through a whole day without refilling.

read a lot of reviews before you buy things. watch utube vids. search ( pbusardo ) and ( igetcha69 ) best 2 reviewers.
don't go over board buying this and that. get the bare minimum to get started.
when i started, i bought a joytech ego setup. all the batteries, pass through and junk like that.
spent a couple hundred.
now i have 2 provaries and the joytech stuff is locked up in the safe. lol.
biggest issue i have is carto / tank systems. finding a really good one.
you're eventually want to upgrade and get better performance.
so, either buy the best now. or spend now and spend later upgrading.
after you get a good mod.
carto or clearomizer type setups will be the biggest issue.
vivi nova's are ok but there is better, keep that in mind, and don't buy a knock off. real one's have red in the V on the box.
ce4 type clearomizers are ok, and good backups.
i can't say anything about the kanger pro yet, i don't have one yet. will probably get one tomorrow to try it.
cartos taste better and cleaner than clearos.
but carto's blow out and need to be replaced. i blew 5 this last week. 10$ for a 5 pack.
if you get a clearo, get a rebuildable one. easier to clean when chainging juice flavor.
and clean everything before you use it, and every couple days clean it good.
after you find what works good for you, you will be pretty much set.
untill the next bigger better thing comes along and sparks your eye. lol.
after 3 or 4 weeks you'll figure it out pretty good.
ask question here, good advice, and alot of people are willing to help.
top the tank and toke on...

You are a genius. In the immortal words of Bruce Lee "don't think, feel !."

Get some spare coil bases for the T3's and evod's. Apart from that, perfect !

Hi and welcome! LOL, It IS a lot like learning a whole new language; but, this is a good place to do so. :D

Juice tastes vary widely from one person to the other; so, if you have a local vapor store anywhere near you that has a sampling room, that's your best bet. One thing to be aware of on flavors is that some flavors require polypropylene (or pyrex, if you can afford them) tanks; since, they react with polycarbonate, which most are made from. One suggestion I'd make is to find a juice that you REALLY LIKE; but, which tastes different from your cigarettes. I accidentally did this (I started vaping with ZERO intention of quitting cigarettes, I just wanted to be able to "get my fix" whenever and wherever I darned well felt like it!); and, now, tobacco cigarettes taste so terrible that it's been almost 6 weeks (?) since I've even TRIED to smoke. I'm left trying to figure out what the heck to do with the @1,000 pounds of real, unprocessed, leaf tobacco that I have... I always sprinkled a little ground clove into my cigarettes. Now, I vape a mixture of 1/2 clove and 1/2 orange/pineapple; sometimes tossing a few other flavors (peach, plum, apricot, etc.) mixed in for variety. That's one nice thing about vaping - you can mix and match to taste, play around with nicotine levels to suit your needs at any particular moment, etc.

For me, having "spare everythings" has been a stress point; and, I'd REALLY resent "having been kidnapped" by vaping if I were to get "caught without." My "best guess" is that would be even more true for someone who actually WANTED to quit. I really regret not having put the money I spent on cig-a-like (to me) junk on initially getting a "couples kit" instead of just a "starter kit" when I switched over less than 2 weeks later. It's just been a couple of months for me; but, I'm already up to 4 batteries (the 650mA I 1st "upgraded" to, the 1100mA that I got as a spare about a week later, and 2 1350mA's that I ordered on 03/01, after finally wrapping my brain around the idea that smoking probably wasn't something I was going to be going back to...) LOL, I'm already looking at mods; but, it'll be a while before I can afford one, unless I can catch a good price on a hand-me-down in the classifieds.
