I tried cartos, alone and in a tank, and found them fussier than clearos. I have hand problems and the priming was a pain. For the same reason (hands) I can't rebuild. I'm happy with my BCCs, especially my Anyvape Davides. I've been using dripping atomizers to test DIY, and while the flavor is somewhat different, mostly a little stronger, I don't find it better.

Hey guys thanks for the input with some I agree and disagree. I feel like with the IBT tank Im getting a burning flavor with the kanger I am getting a better taste. Idk if its me or the juices I am purchasing. I am going to go out and buy the new Nautilis mini with BVC and see how that is since the rave about them is just that good.
What do you guys think

For straight up, out-of-the-box vaping, I think I would say that cartotanks have the lead. That doesn't count cartotanks with rebuilt heads.

What cartomizers are you using? Not all cartomizers are created equally. I generally stick to Smok and Boge cartos, and I tried a box of "no-name" cartos from Fasttech - and ended up tossing them, just couldn't get decent performance out of them.

As to the Nautilus, I've had mine a few months, but just got a box of BVC coils and have not tried them yet.

Nothing better for me than IBTanked 22mm XL, Smok 2.0Ω single coil XL and my DIY juice. I never liked the vapor quality from clearos. I vape 6.5 to 7.0 watts. 10.W is about the max I can expect to get from this set-up without burning. 6.5W will produced a volume of vapor way bigger than the amount of smoke I used to get from cigarettes.

What wattage are you using with the IBTank?. Somewhere around 8W works for me and I've never had a burning taste.

purchased a lot off the BST here, and Im guessing a Carto from IBT. Not sure what brand but it is 2.0 ohm. pre punched 2 hole carto.
as for watts not sure what wattage im at, never did the math. But I been burning at 2.9v to 3.4v

I personally will never be going back to cartomizers. I like the ease of refilling the tanks and they remind me too much of the ones for cigalikes. As for flavor, I find adjusting the wattage helps me out on flavors. Some flavors taste better on higher wattage settings while others taste better on a lower wattage.

If you experience burning at those low wattages/voltages, you may not be priming the cartos correctly. How do you prime cartos when you use them?

Sent from my KFOT using Tapatalk

followed the FAQ on the IBT site. Using the Thingy to prime the carto. Am I doing sumthing wrong or not in line?

Using my thingy I tend to also use the condom method, syringe method or the plunger. I'll saturate the center with about a dozen twists of the thingy then soak the rest for full saturation.

Guess I'm just a bit paranoid when I don't see good saturation at the top... and by the time you have good visible saturation with the thingy, the Carto is leaking or gurgles for a few puffs. It's clogged up with juice, etc..

Though I taught my pop (and a few others) how to use the thingy and it's worked out fine once they've gotten a hang of it. Pop burnt up quite a few cartos before he started priming completely.
