I also just turned the BIG 4,0! I've smoked analogs, off and on, since I was 17. I always got headaches and a bad hacky cough and of course I got sick every winter a number of times.

Now life is good...a Duff beer in one hand and a juice box in the other!! What more could a man ask for!!! ALL YOU GUYS ROCK!! Never forget that!!!

Congrats! A word of caution - enjoy those 40's while they last - it goes by real fast ;)

I quit smoking cold turkey when I was pregnant with my daughter who is now 10.5 months. She ended up in hospital when she was 4 months for a month as she wasn't gaining weight well and they didn't know why, in the evenings I went for a smoke because I was in hospital 24/7 with her by myself and it was driving me spare, it was my one vice. After she left hospital I kept smoking and got back up to an average of about 10 a day but it made me feel guilty smoking and being around her, knowing how it smelled and wondering about the effect on her. Also because she's moving around now I can't really leave her to go out for a smoke so when I heard about V4L it seemed perfect for me. Now I can smoke in the same room as her without worrying about her health and knowing that my own is improving. I'm glad to be able to make a difference in her life thanks to V4L!!!

Reflections after my first month of vaping:

My father, mother, and I started using vapor4life about a month ago. We ordered V4L products as our first PVs. Needless to say, everyday has been bliss. We got into vaping to curb analog smoking. Well it worked. None of us have gone back since.
My father quit for over 30 years, but recently took it back up when we lost our family business. He is in great physical shape, but at 53 years old he has had 2 heart attacks, and a triple bypass. He was smoking 1.5 packs a day, not good.
My mother is a very small woman, who has smoked for most of her life. She has a very stressful job and smoked almost 2 packs a day.
I'm 24 years old male, and was a 2 pack a day person. I couldn't run up stairs without getting winded. I am in decent shape, but heart disease runs rampant in my family. My cholesterol is 289 overall. REALLY not good. My family has been in restaurants all our life, my father is a chef, and to me, cooking is my life. My tastebuds are essential to me, but from 2 packs a day I can't taste a THING!

My family is selling our home as well, but it smells of analog smoke, from our constant use, so that can't help the resell value. Ashes are everywhere, and my clothes and furniture smell of smoke.

That was before V4L.....
Now my chest feels 100x better! I can up and down stairs all day! Before I couldn't lay on my back because my chest would hurt. I have much more energy, and my head is MUCH clearer. I used to get headaches from smoking, not anymore! Oh and my favorite part. I can TASTE! I used to not be able taste individual seasonings and spices, now I can pick out everything! My tongue is supercharged!
I tried a honey mustard sauce the other day, and I could taste cumin, mustard powder (not seed), cayenne, pepper, garlic, and basil! I literally could count off all the ingredients, before I could NEVER of done that! All this in one month, so what happens at a year?

Yes these side affects are attributed to analog use, but I could never have quit without a PV. With a PV I only get water vapor (and great flavors to boot). Not to mention my wallet thanks me as well!

I know V4L is not the cheapest brand out there, But they are far far cheaper then many other brands out there. I do know I get quality, and Steve actually cares, and I can't put a price on that.
The KR-808D1 model is perfect for my family. My mother would never of figured out how to drip/top off. Honestly she burns every single carto up, but you know what, I don't care. She's not smoking, and that's what counts. This two piece design is the most beginner friendly. I have only tried one other 3 piece brand, but with current technology I just don't see how you can get much more performance out of a 3.7v PV. I really don't want to carry a large mod around when I'm out and about. I just use the PT in the car.
Yeah sure I could get a 5v mod, and drip some VG and make a cloud, but why when I have a $15 5V PT?
For me I enjoy pulling out my little XL and blowing a cloud that make analog users envious!

The reason I made this thread, was because I was sitting at my computer browsing the forums, and vaping away. Right after I exhaled a large drag, I realized I had this ear to ear smile on my face. I am truly happy to be analog free. I want to share this experience with everyone out there! VAPE ON!

With V4L I enjoy vaping, and I feel zero GUILT about it!

You know what I do feel?
Myself always smilin.......

Thank you, everyone at V4L, and especially you Steve.:D

started nail coffins at age 15 or so. 30 years later and wouldn't ya know i was still on em. about 5 years ago i switch to indonesian cloves, mostly for the flavor but they were boocoo cheaper too (even with international shipping only about $1.25/pack). but, it was still tobaccy, and i've read long term clove inhalation is none too good for the lungs. problem was, i couldn't go back to regular smokes cause they tasted like dirt. on occasion i'd run out and have to buy a few packs local - at $6/pack, ouch. then comes the ridiculous ban on 'flavored' smokes, which includes cloves. now i have to plan ahead to make sure i don't run out.
on a whim i got snookered into the smoke51 thingy. i got it, but didn't try it right away. then two days later i got a bill, then another, and another. it was war with this company trying to get my money back (i think they ended up with 30 extra bucks of mine).
then it happened, i had one pack of cloves left, and another shipment would be a week away. figgered i'd give this little trio bugger a shot. so i finished my smokes on a sunday night, and monday morning i broke out the trio.
couple puffy vapes, and that was it. i no longer craved the smoke, nor the clove. soon after i ended up here and like most others spent way too much time reading and way too much money buying. though its only been two weeks, i've made some of my own mods, bought some others, and am still figuring out exactly what works best for me.
one thing for sure, after countless unsuccessful attempts at quitting tobacco, i know i'm done with cigarettes for good. heck, two days after i started vaping i could be around other smokers and not crave - i even had many drinks without the crave.
i'm feeling better, i don't need ashtrays, lighters, don't have to leave the room every hour, or pull over on long trips.
i ride a harley, and the wife didn't like me smoking when she's with me. now she doesn't mind at all (as i said in another thread, yes, i vape as i ride :D).

big thanks to all who participate on this forum. for myself, as for many others, it made all the difference in sticking with it and not going back to burning leaves.

Oh wow, woo wooand joy!

Just got my V4L ultra kit this morning. First time vaping; heavy serious smoker for, oh lord, more years than i want to say. I figured on switching slo mo to this.
I was frustrated because I picked up the stuff at the PO on the way to work, figured I'd have to figure it out in the evening. But put one together at the first red light, man, these are EASY. (I wanted plug and play, not a chem lab fetish deal. That's just me.)
I did tons of research before buying and felt good about my choice, and excited but secretly a little skeptical of the whole thing...
Well good grief!
I LOVE this thing. Love love love it. No desire whatsoever for an analog since 7:15 this morning (I do 2 1/2 packs a day). None. Can't quite wrap my mind around it. I HATE cigs, hate the smell, the dead sock taste, the way I feel, all of it. Man... this is the smartest invention...
And incidentally, my order shipped FAST, and it's all very pretty and elegant and very much more comfortable to use than I expected. I can't see wanting cigs again, at the moment anyway. I'm into raspberry at the moment, and very nico-satisfied... the reason vaping works is that you can control the hit, according to your own smoking rhythms, and no other nicotine delivery system does that. You get that right away.

Oh gosh and wow. Excuse my effusion, it's just very much better than I'd anticipated, and I was optimistic... no more cigarettes? Really? (More uncontrolled happiness...)

I started smoking 11 years ago; I'm 24... my grandfather and father used to give me packs of reds to smoke... either because they thought I'd quit or it was what they smoked, either way I got hooked and 3 weeks ago, I saw my cousin Ken smoking an ecig and I asked... he said he got off analogs and was actually down to Zero mg at that point... which is what I hope to do. Ken told me to visit vapor4life and that his friend had done a ton of research and found these were the best so I followed his advice.

for 3 weeks now, I've had my ultimate ultimatum shorty kit and love it. Kamel, Parliament and 555 are my favorite flavors, I'll mix a cowboy or non tobacco flavor in to my cartomizers every now and then. by the time i got the ecig, I was already down to 2-4 cigs a day so hopefully i can quit nicotine completely with my vapor king.

The best part about the whole thing is that I can use it in bars and house without a problem and without bothering anybody.

Great stories, lots and lots of new people, wow is it growing fast!

I'm going to hazard a guess as to one reason why this may be growing so quickly right now. It's certainly why I came here and I'm thinking others may have jumped on the same bandwagon this month, so soon after the holidays.

At Christmastime, SmokeAnywhere (or SmokeEverywhere, or whatever the heck it's called!) was all over the US in malls. I'm betting there were a lot of people like me who were exposed to e-cigs "in person" that way for the first time and, like me - *pats self on back* - were smart enough to go home first and do some research and came to V4Life, finding virtually no negative feedback on it. And I don't judge folks who bought at the malls - they're hard sellers and I almost did myself. It was just a lucky break that I didn't, but decided to go home and check e-cigs out further.

So I think the holiday push must have had a lot to do with it. I'm still amazed at the fact that I don't miss analogs at all, although I still definitely feel like I'm learning the ways that work best for me. And tonight I actually forgot I was vaping and took my VK outside to the carport for a drag.

Just day 3, but sometimes you just know. Unless ecigs disappear, I can't imagine ever smoking a cigarette again. Unless Steve disappears, I can't imagine it being hard or a hassle at all - these are delicious to use in every way, far, far better than expected. Given my heavy, heavy, very long-term habit, this is beyond words wonderful. Like so many unintentionally instant quitters in here, I quickly became completely disinterested in my beloved Marlboros and I just cheerfully tossed the remaining pack that's been sitting beside my bed into the waste basket (perfect casual shot, BING, a nice moment).
My wonderful Mom died of lung cancer. And, ready for this? - I work hospice, and have for 10 years. Nobody knows better than I what cigarettes do to people. And still smoking 2+ packs a day all those years. Quitting has always rendered me a basket case, it's horrible. Managed it twice for long periods, but each time a grievous calamity tossed me back into the smog. I'd really given up when I heard about these. Holy Unsmoke!
I feel great, no side effects except that my dry wheezing morning cough is productive and I know from experience that that's all good. Clear, alert and absolutely satisfied. Drinking lots of water as I researched this tons before I started. Discovered Smilin Menthol yesterday (Peppermint Patty!), and that's a fabulous flavor for me.
I figure that I'll slowly drop nico strength but for now I'm set. Nico is the very least of my worries - how DARE they promote it in patches and other useless products, and frown down on this excellent product? (Well, we know very well how.)
And I'm so glad I started with V4L: impressed wildly with the product (yeah, I'm buyin' up the shop, even the lanyard), impressed with the man (incredible service!!), and with the happy enthusiastic crew in here (hi hi hi!).
(I DON'T want the FDA to get wind of all this. Not until there's such a huge lobby that they'd be really hard pressed to kill it. I can't think of a bigger threat to Big Tobacco, and it's all a perverse conflict of interests on both sides. $$$)
Anyway, rant rant -- I'm vaping Mocha Cap with my good morning coffee, and guessing that when my daughter comes to town for a visit in a few weeks that Steve will have yet another customer there. She likes shiny, nice-looking things, flavors, good smells, and is unhappily shackled to her damned Salems. Can't wait to turn her on to this.
And I'm still murmuring, "I can't believe this, I can't believe this."
I absolutely believe this.
YES

So I am one of those idiots who bought a kit from the kiosk at the mall for $200. Loved the idea and theory but hated that I was not getting what they claimed I would. SO after a little research and a roll of the dice I ordered a VK and have loved every minute of it. I wanted to share something I discovered after only 3 weeks of using my VK. Hope it helps someone. I have been doing nothing but praising it to all of my friends and I have 3 people on my street using VK. Too bad they don't have a kickback system in place. I am in the Navy and there are a ton of us Sailors who can use these while we are underway on those big gray things.

I was recently refilling my V4L carts and got the idea to take the rubber ring and hard plastic cap off of them for good. I used a pen to punch through the hole in the hard cap while I had the condom on and it created a perfect match to the hole that is on the hard caps. I then took it all out and just put the condom on and used it this way. All the benefits of the KR8 and some pros of dripping. I just carry a bottle of juice and put a few drops in from time to time and I am getting great vapor and flavor. Been doing this with the same cart for about 4 days now and still no burned taste. I am also not getting nearly the juice in my mouth as I would when I was refilling them and putting them all back together. No more burning my lip when the cart heats up, can keep the cart full so it doesn't burn, 1 cart lasting me 4 days and still going strong...the benefits just keep on coming. I am going through about 2ml of 36mg juice a day using it this way.

I don't like the round carto in my mouth and don't like when they get hot so instead of using the condom over the end, I took off the end cap and inner ring and put an empty 901 flat tip cart on for a mouth piece. You do need to cut about 7/16 off the end of the 901 cart or it's too long.

Hopefully someone else will find this tip useful :)

May peace and joy fill your life, today and everyday!

For folks like me who are still pretty new to this and comprehend more from pretty pictures and videos than words :D can someone maybe do up a little video or series of pictures on what this would look like and how to do it? Sounds interesting.....thank you!

There's already a video that shows how to remove the white cap & o-ring:

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/vapor4life/39350-refilling-cartomizer-movie.html

The hole he's talking about making winds up looking like the far right condom in this picture:

Thanks, Pawpaw. :) I actually have watched that video a couple of times, but I still wasn't quite understanding what the hole is getting punched into. So you're saying it's a hole punched in the condom? And then are the plastic ring inside and the hard flat top kept off forever and the condom with the hole replaces them? If so, what would keep the juice from flowing out? What would capture it? This is what I'm not managing to picture. Hopefully I'm explaining my confusion right!

You've got the right idea now. There is no way the liquid can run out, unless you stand the carto on it's head. ;)

Most are doing this with the carto on a battery, so they can more easily drip more juice in there from time to time.

I personally just leave the o-ring out and replace the white cap without pushing it in too hard. After that, I can just use a fingernail to pop the white cap off.
