.........and then today when I came home from a day out & about my Infinity won't work. :( I put freshly charged batteries......no dice. I put in a set of fully charged brand new batteries, no dice. I had my husband open the top to make sure the positive lead was still soldered on, sure enough, all of the wires are right where they are suppose to be.

To top this jacked up story off............I figure out that the Infinity is broken right while I'm watching the end of the movie "Titanic"..........so i'm crying my eyes out anyway & now my favorite PV won't hit.

Yes, this is normally my luck. Stuff happens...........but mostly to me. So, you don't have to worry about it.

WTF am I suppose to do now? I swear I should just put a cartomizer on a joye 510, that way i'm totally cool with it when it dies. I'm about to lose it........

Make sure the new batteries are going in all the way. Try reversing them. Also try turning it up and down, back and forth a few times and see if that helps. Loose and retighten the screw on the bottom cap. Last but not least if you have a meter see if there is any power comig out and what it reads.

BTW I love the tattoo.

meems...............HELP!

I just pulled out my VP Turbo AV............ runs on 1, 14500, so it's almost like using a joye 510.

Girl, do you have any 14250's for that Turbo? Stack those little babies in there and turn up the voltage if you do. So sorry to hear your gear is jacked up. :(

ok, 5CS, I did everything you told me to except for taking out the bottom screw & putting it back on. no power from the voltimeter.

Stormfinch~Thank you for your input. I'll have go drop a line to Mike in the am.

BM~ k, i'm off to find those batteries tomorrow. An ECF'er that is making me a hello kitty pez mod told me that Fryes sells the AW-IMRs!!!!....... So, i'm gonna hit Fryes tomorrow & see if I can find the batteries you suggested there, if not, i'll order them. Yes, girl, my gear is jacked up.

Meems~.......well, you've always got an answer to everything :) Everything TV that is :)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I like all my mods.........I also like the idea of being able to vape on what I want when I want to.
I've got alot of ink. The majority of it can be covered with clothing. After 8 hours on my back in 1 sitting, I swore I was never getting any more......yesterday I broke. I really wanted to get this just above the anticubital space of my arm, but that was soooooo not gonna work with the type of job I do. My body is the temple that houses my soul (the REAL me)....Churches get decorated with beautiful stained glass & cathedral ceilings.........so I like to decorate the covering that houses my soul.
At the moment, my soul isn't very happy.
Nice tat! A close family friend is an awesome tattoo artist and I have none. He even lived in my house for about 3 years. I have thought about it and came close. I have seen hundreds of them done and it looks like it hurts!! I've seen grown men pass out and a few whine like babies. I think what really stops me though is I can't decide what I want to get. Every time I pick something it needs to be big to get all the detail I want and then I back out.
Sorry about your infinity!
bmwjen, sorry to hear about your PV. Please drop Mike a PM about it or open a support ticket on the website. He'll get you fixed. He has a one day turn around. Amen to "dressing up" your temple. I love your symbol. I have 5 tats that are easily concealed also.
moorea...I had to laugh at your post. It might look like it hurts but really it doesn't. I fell asleep getting a snake with jewels tattooed on my back calf. It took him 3 hours to do it but it has alot of detail. Not really painful getting one put on. The best way to describe what it feels like once it's completed is like getting a carpet burn...not too painful but stings a bit if you don't keep cream on it. The worst parts of your body for pain are your neck, top of feet, and ribs. If you consider one, start with something small that can be easily hidden. Then you'll know if you can do a bigger one.
Starting with something small is my biggest problem. Everytime I start to design something it always turns into something that somehow needs to be big to include the detail. My friend that does the tats, last drew me up an aewsome space scene. But to fit in everything I wanted it would of ended up a back piece! Same story with the black and white clown fish, what started as two clown fish in an anonomie ended up being half the pacific ocean!
I gave birth to two kids... so it can't be that bad, but I really have seen grown men cry when getting them... One guy got up to get some fresh air and passed out walking out the front door. I have also seen others fall asleep as you did.
My artist has been working on a 65 year old woman who's husband passed away 2 years ago. In honor of her husband, she is having done a Safari scene as they loved to go on them. It's really beautiful. She goes once a week for an hour to have it filled in but on the initial visit, it too him 8 hours just to outline the scene in black. She never had a tat before so she didn't know how bad it would be. She fell asleep on him like I do....LOL.
moorea that only thing I can tell you is this: do whatever scene you want, put it where you want or you'll never be happy. If what you want is too big, don't do it because you won't be happy with it. They are more painful to get removed than getting it put on. I suggest getting on some tat sites on the web and look around. You might find something that catches your eye and a good artist can alter it to your specs.
I'll never forget I got the star of Texas on one of my toes (so that I wouldn't always have to wear a toe ring). That little sucker hurt. I fell asleep through both of my "tramp stamps"..........my entire back piece made my eyes well up with tears. I actually had a homebirth (gave birth in my bedroom on purpose)........& that was nothing compared to the pain of my back piece.
tattoo goo is your friend :) I once cared for a guy that had tons of "road rash" after a motorcycle accident, & of course in the hospital they want us to use all this fancy cleaner, & topical antibiotics on it. The guy wanted to use tattoo goo.....I COMPLETELY agreed with his rationale & talked the doc into letting us use tattoo goo on his wounds :)
BTW, the rose tat that you can hardly see in the photo was my very first. I got it at my first dead show during the summer of 1994 at Buckeye Lake. Not the cleanest place to get ink done, but I was young & dumb, the red is still holding strong. Other than the texas star, infinity & rose that I mentioned above the other visable ones I have include "Hello Kitty" holding an ak-47 on my left upper arm, and a tribute to my father on my lower left leg. I should have my husband take a photo of my back tomorrow.
Well, even though it's a sad thread........I'm glad I can talk about something that makes me happy in it. Thanks for your contributions to the thread. Post pics if ya want! I love seeing other's "decorations".
Hairball, you are a rockstar! I'm gonna open a support ticket. I hate it when ALL of my vape stuff breaks. For some reason I get random pms from people that must think i'm some sort of vape goddess.........& they ask my suggestions for stuff because "all of their stuff breaks". Of course I make my suggestions, but I also let them know that the e-cig business is growing & changing every single day & it's mostly because of the "modders" & people that aren't afraid to give something a try. It's people like Mike that start the VV thing & change the face of vaping. The reason that ALOT of vaping stuff breaks is because it's all a work in progress. I'm STILL buying an infinity Pro (pink or chrome), so ya'll better leave me one. I'm also gonna buy a purple one for my friend who may not have the money to buy it when they drop & I don't want them to sell out before she gets the money.
I <3 you all just for sharing in this thread. (& I want pics, lol )
I know about having PV's break. I had one of my Buzz's go down on me. Mike replaced the PCB for me for just the shipping charge back to me. I even explained that I bought it in the classy's but he held to his warranty. I mailed it priority to him, he fixed it the day he got it and put it right back in the mail. I was without it for about 7 days. I had two Infinites but sold both, not because I didn't like them but because I could kill the batteries in 3 hours...LOL. I know they went to good homes. I hold tight to my Buzz's and always have.
That's really nice of you to help your friend out. Hopefully Mike will have plenty to go around. I'm painfully waiting on the Buzz Pro. I want the blue and purple to start with...LOL. Can't cha tell I love my Buzz PV's?
If my daughter is around tomorrow, I will have her take a pic of the snake on my leg and the spiders on my forearm. I know I'm a weird gal to like spiders and snakes. They always have fascinated me. How can such a small critter (in size comparison to a human) make us so sick or even cause death? I guess that's what always fascinated me. The next one I want to get is a black widow on a web but have it placed on top of my shoulder. Only problem with it is...ouch...bra strap. When I get it done, it will have to be in the winter so the heat won't irritate it as bad.
Awwww.... Jen. Bummer about the infinity. I'm sure Mike (or rather, Terri) will get you fixed up toot-sweet! :)
BTW, is that one of Jonah's Torpedo tanks on that thing? I have a 5 ml one on my Buzz right now. Still trying to decide if I can put up with the E2s though. They don't wick worth a damn. I'm always having to tip it down to wet the coil.
Mist~ yes, it's a torpedo tank. I've got 2 minis & 2 regular ones. (love 'em) I just figure when the CE2 dies my husband will rebuild the wicking with ssmesh & use kanthol wrap at the top.
I can't understand why people were having such a difficult time taking their tanks apart? Why buy them & immediately take them apart?
I've never had to wet the coil..........just the wick when it starts to run low on juice. If you ever wanna get rid of yours..........you know how to reach me :)
Hairball~ I ALMOST got a black Buzz in the classifieds yesterday morning. However they wanted to sell it with lots of batteries & a charger. I've got batteries out the wazoo..........as when I bought the Infinity I got 12 sets...... & i've got 3 chargers. So, the seller said they would get ahold of me if they couldn't get rid of it. I told 'em that it should sell pretty quick.
I just changed the E2 in it yesterday for the first time and I can see how people would have trouble doing this. I had to put the bottom cap upside down in a wood vise on one of my benches and pound it out with a hammer and a punch. I assume it'll loosen up a bit in time. I like the tank. It's the E2s I'm not too sure about. I'm thinking about seeing if I can mod it to work with a different kind of carto like the Liquinator tank does.
Then I would say (like everyone else) it's time for Mike to do a heart transplant on it. Sorry about that, I was hoping you could get it going with a little massage but I guess not.
I have to do that with the MAP tank too but not the Fusion tank. That is a thirsty one and has no problem wicking.
