So you thought your 510 atty was dead

Nothing...... After close inspection, I see a lot of black charred stuff on the coil... Is there any method to clean all the black charred residue out?

Tried boiling, alcohol, peroxide etc.... With no positive results..

Measure the ohms of the coil. A working 510 atomizer has between 2 and 5 ohms resistance (depending on make and whether or not it's a HV atomizer). Zero ohms or an ohm reading higher than 5 means your atomizer won't benefit from removing the black charred residue. It's dead from the coil itself failing.

I read on another thread that when the coil gets too much carbon on it, it will stretch the coil and eventually it will snap. That's probably what caused yours to go stone cold.

That's why I clean mine like this almost every week. I've had some of my atomizers for months and they continue to work but eventually the wicks start to wear and I'll buy new ones. A couple months per atty is pretty good.

I do this on 306 atomizers and they just keep going. Even the wicks seem to never wear out.
