Sorry.... why does camp pendleton have to be in cali? Had the news on as background.... pretty sure I heard them say Poway was considering a ban a on vaping in public to reduce the risk of wildfires.... may or may not be exact.... I heard poway, electronic cigarettes, ban, not regulated by the fda and not labelled as a tobacco product, the capital, smoking, wildfires all within the same story. ...
Really? Really? The only thing I'm gonna miss about socal is the year-round pepper growing weather....

Ok so how would an ecig start a fire? I believe they are carrying things a bit too far with the war against ecigs/pv's/apv's. It's just downright ridiculous.

I live just north of Orange county, and I must say....huge community of vapers. Hopefully we can unite and educate the general public about vaping to put an end to nonsensical legislation.

I've been searching and searching and can't find anything about that little story.... there are articles about poway considering a ban, but nothing else.... the news station's site only seems to have clips of "important" stuff....

Hmm, lets hope this doesn't come to pass. Not just for this state, but anywhere in the country. I believe NY passed legislation outlawing vaping in public. Just what I have heard, not sure about the accuracy. Where are you from originally?

Several speakers Tuesday urged the Poway council to ban the devices, saying children need the consistent message that smoking of all types is bad.

Even if it isn't..?

Other speakers stressed that the long-term health effects of e-cigarettes are unknown.

Short-term health effects would seem to be tremendously beneficial as opposed to smoking though...

“People used to say cigarettes were harmless,” said Councilman Steve Vaus. “We’ve seen how that’s turned out. I find it hard to believe sucking these vapors into your lungs long term is harmless.”

What he believes is irrelevant...
