I am interested in DIY and went through several posts. One thing is about where to get Nicotine concentrate. So I have this question: since Nicotine is solid in room temperature, why is there no vendor selling solid pure nicotine? Is it because solid nicotine is too unstable/dangerous and hence is banned to the general public? Basically, my question is this: suppose we can get solid nicotine and make nicotine solution by ourselves, wouldn't that make vaping even more cheaper?

Thanks!

PS. I am a newbie and no chemistry major. So please don't laugh after reading:)

No. Don't even think about it. Pure nicotine is a deadly poison and should only be used in an appropriately equipped laboratory by qualified technicians.

ECF will not allow specific discussion of this topic for safety reasons.

About the highest concentration used for DIY is 100 mg nicotine base, or 10% nicotine. I use it with care.

The DIY forum here at ECF is a useful resource.
