Sterling silver Zippos (I am a collector of Zippos since early in my analog days) can be had for around $160 for the regular full-sized Zippo. I personally have 2 (a slim and a full size) and would expect that a mech mod made of Sterling Silver would be both very easy to scratch (the Sterling Zippo I used to use is quite scratched up from being in my pocket with my keys and coins)

Aside from that, the Zippos aren't very thick, a mech mod would have to be at least 3 times the thickness to reduce voltage drop and give it some strength and the price would easily be at least $1200-1500 in my opinion for a very basic one, I'm not overly surprised at the $2800 asking price for a Caravela in Sterling Silver

That being said, my two favorite metals are Brass and Sterling Silver so I'd probably buy a Sterling mech mod at some point if they were priced right
