I use 'dum' to imply that the idiot or object being referred to is so dumb they would spell it 'dum'. Ironically, this is often lost on the dummy in question.The best ever is a simple spelling mistake and comes in two flavours...being labelled 'retarted' or 'dum'. Makes me giggle every time.
