It is a CR2 at 3.7v folks.....
thanks... dunno why i assumed it was a cr123a... guess i forgot it took cr2s as well. wish someone would make a protected cr2 so i dont go over-discharging the things... im a bit spacey when it comes to keeping an eye on my batteries. id rather just have the circuit to do it for me.

. . . i figured considering my past tastes in all things high end and expensive, i may as well do the same with PVs and just go for the best.

i'm very particular with my toys. they've gotta look the part, ya know? and this one certainly looks the part. nice and shiny and expensive looking, just the way i like it... lol. :)

Yup, I know the feeling

Anytime I try to go a little lower end I always end up unsatisfied and wind up buying the higher end item I should've bought in the first place.

Maybe they took that picture with no battery in it? If so, I have to say that's pretty misleading... I hope that's not the case though, because that picture was a big reason why I ordered this.. not only for the multiple configurations but because it can be so compact with a single RCR123A battery and look like that.

Thanks, but it doesn't really. You're saying even when using the shorter 901 adapter, there's still a gap.

The issue is the gap. The picture shows a configuration with no gap. If that's not possible with actually having a battery inside the unit, the photo is very misleading.

.

As Vapn said - that's the smallest configuration with one CR2 in it (the first configuration shown on the chart on my GGTS sales page.)
Nowhere was it said that the smallest configuration was with a CR123A in it and I spend hours (literally) taking my photos every time the GG configuration changes even slightly so that people know exactly what they are getting and aren't misled........

It's because of your photos that a lot of us order the GGTS.. they've very seductive.

Anyway, as I said I forgot that the GGTS could take a single CR2. Having said that, if there was a little note somewhere stating that the photo shown was demonstrating the single CR2 configuration, that would probably help clear up any confusion. Otherwise, there's no way any of us would know that there would be a gap when using a short battery such as the RCR123A... unless of course one were to see this thread, or another that showed photo'd examples of what each configuration looks like.

Not happy about that. I don't even have mine yet, but already I've learned the 18650 battery I have won't fit, and now the RCR123As I got won't work either without a gap.

Try all of your battery and atomizer connections before you rule one or the other out. I have 18650 batteries that fit perfectly that other people cant get in their GGTS at all and some of the ones that I have that are supposed to fit won't... It's a toss up with the Chinese battery market on what will and won't fit. You can take a fine grit sand paper to the inner side of the brass tube and see if you can work a little of it away to accommodate your battery if you would like. Some people have reported that to work quite well.

As for the smallest configuration of the GGTS I use a protected cr2 to achieve the "nano or no brass sleeve look". I cannot get that look with any of my cr123 batteries.

Thanks wood, I think I'll probably order one of those AW batteries anyway since they've got great specs.. but as you said, there's always a chance it won't fit.. in which case I will try sanding the brass a bit.

What brand CR2 do you have that it's protected? Is it one of the few AW ones that were available for a short time, or a home-made one? I'm considering ordering some protection circuits and making my own with some tabbed cells.

dont forget theres also high drain 18500s out there too by AW. can buy at lighthound...makes for a smaller config with abt 1500mah...;)

Yes those are nice batteries for good 3.7v vaping. I have three of them and use them quite a bit. I like the size of my TS with one of those in it. They are 1100 mAh but I think they are pretty darn close to that. Unlike other batteries that say they are 1100 but in actuality they are about 750.....
