its not the prettiest or best gun i own, but shes got history and id never let er go
i do like alot of the .45s, i love the 1911 style, would love a kimber. but im not big on the whole grip safety. the .45 has the 9 beat hands down in stopping power, only an idiot would argue that. but with a double stack those 15 rounds hit pretty hard :p

ps id vote gummy, great community service you do around here in the "dear gummy" thread

OK DSUv3 is done, and it works good, and holds 3.5ml.
Here are some pics:

is that the ceramic sleeving around the ss mesh?

Yes and it wicks GREAT!
I have installed it on the scubagenv3 also to test it out, and so far it is working fantastically. Initially I had an off taste but after a bout 5 puffs it went away, With the ceramic material dry I did a dry burn, the ceramic turned a light gray and the then turned white. No burnt taste so far, will give it a couple more days and I will report how it is working. One nice thing about the ceramic is it has a higher tolerance than the silica wick does. The other nice thing is I did not have to oxidize the SS mesh.

Looks cool Dan does it wick up the stuff that condenses at the bottom...or is that even a problem...

I didn't get to try my idea with the minor change to the DSU today...I was going to adapt same Idea I have some ceramic sheathing I was going to drape across the inner edge between the wick and the center shaft of the tank...

and to clear up any misunderstandings...that comment awhile back was to say I'm not afraid to say something...words are words.. and personally I don't care what someone wears that's their business...and really has nothing to do with me.......

And Gummy You have my vote...

Good deal. I haven't flown in a while but my plan would be to use a mini or my Vgo for the flight and have the Genisis dried up and cleaned and fill upon landing. Seems like they're not flight worthy but no biggie.

I fly often, and for a while I was using my GG slim until I sold it, and did what you are saying with my genesis. I just stuck it in a pouch in my computer bag so I would have it with me and know nothing was happening to it. I always try to get a window seat, and stealth vape the whole flight, or when I would go to the restroom. Never have any problems with security. And when work in nuke plants, which is most of the year, no one ever says anything about it when I go through security and x-rays. Just the occasional "is that one of those e cigarette things? Do they really work?".

Yeah by tapering the center down with the wick in it, it draws up the excess. Have not had the problems I experianced with the first two.

Here is the combustion chamber after sitting all night.
View attachment 43615
notice no pooling at the base of the wick.
Dan

Same spring set up as the scubagen? I like this set up a little more, just because of the ease of wick making....haven't completely made it passed the learning curve of the curved wicks. Still ruin one or two before I get it to work.

on the go....with my Croatian Beast...Hybrid Mini!

poland, and the brassy lands of google
Riddle, window seats are great for that, and I have a tendency to visit the restroom a lot for more satisfying sessions. :) Blowing downward helps in there as well as clearing the air with the toilet and sink. Sure I'm wasting the plane's water supply, but for a good cause.
