The Redilast2900 and the AW2900 are just re-wrapped Panasonic cells (they just add their own PCB as Panasonic cells are unprotected).Heard of Redilast a while ago. I'm guessing you compared against AWs. What were the comparison points that you chose Redilast on?
I am in favor of a bit smaller tank, 1/2" ID 5/8" OD. The larger and closer to the POC design would be a 5/8" ID 3/4" OD. What is your preferred size?
I'd be ok w/ a 5/8" OD as well. We can always control the 'ml' it'll hold by length of the tank.

I think mj was on the right track with his design with minor modification of the top section to have a removable cap. (starting to sound like a broken record at this point )
The connection points for the 510 end and for the up top kanthal end are what is taking the longest. If it was just a matter of a tank (in inch measure) with a 510 connection point and upper metal disc that holds wire and mesh, we would be ready to produce right now.
Although similar there are better choices. Like round ones that are basically a pin and a threaded sleeve. I don't think anyone is at that level of detail yet.![]()
Is the battery end being considered for the Co-op?
The 5/8"-3/4" is just a bit on the "fat" side. I wouldn't mind something a bit smaller in OD than your standard 14500 pv.
Length IS important. What it fits in, how prone it is to breaking. Long atty + drip tip means you end up with a LOT of leverage out towards the tip. Not good for excessive angular force towards the connector end.
What you want to weigh it against is capacity. I think 1 ml is the minimum and probably too small. I would find 1.5 ml capacity ideal. The Genisis I have now is about 3 ml.
The downside of 1/2" - 5/8" is the 1/16" wall thickness... I think that's a no go. I'd like to see 1/8" wall thickness at a minimum? A main factor inspiring this was tank replacement... because they break.
RockWoman My vote is 1/2" ID 5/8" OD
Thank you so much
Yup, I like that idea too... as long as it's not really long, then it just adds way too much length to some PVs which are already borderline too long as it is.
Hey cos, I just noticed your sig... you have two Hybrids?? You lucky SOB.... lol!![]()
