nope, because i can do more advanced things and much faster. versus grinding a tool to do a radius, i can program a much more common tool to make the radius, etc. You also have to remember that i do this stuff for a living and taking 4 hours to write code that i could program in mastercam in 10 minutes is not an effective use of my time. :D the capabilities are nice as well. and the programming is far from automatic.

Gummy your my hero.....

Hey Dan ya have vid?:pop: close as I will get this year unless ya want to trade for a phaser rmod...lol

oh all you guys are making me  and want my lathe faster but I have to wait...

I think I will have mine working by a week or 2 but I have to order the right kanthal and somehow get a trustworthy meter...all my 32ga got chopped up trying to get ohms right when my meter is 2-3 ohms off...also there may be a viscosity problem...

question is anyone using 100%PG with a genesis...?or at least 90/10...much higher than that and I have a reaction to the vg or something from processing...my next order from somewhere else for VG is next mo so I'm looking at really thin juice in it...

Hmmmm, I know C, C++, Turbo Pascal, Arexx, VB, and Java, never heard of G. Will have to look up mastercam. Wonder if I create the file and transport it to a machine shop they could run what I create easiler and cheaper since I already created it.
Dan

me as well , I thought you guys spoke English in USA

only as a first language...although most of these guys are WAAAAAAAY ahead of me...I have basic and a little pascal under my belt...the latter from 1 semester of high school(should have been 2) the former from private classes w 3 other students...prob is those were obsolete the moment the classes opened the doors...lol

agreed, back on topic.

here is what i was talking about with mastercam. this is the bottom part of a willpro style atty.

The purple lines represent the geometry of the part. The little blue lines are the actual cuts, the yellow are retracts. This is what i stare at all day to program parts. the line references the tip of a tool, in this case i have 5 different tools .

Beats my caliper and measuring tape :)

Looks good, that at 3.7v dan? Sounds like a pretty airy draw?

Right at 4vdc.... it is, the hole is right at 3/64ths of an inch (1.19mm). Perfect draw.
Oh the sound you hear might be my computer fan, kinda hot, was running the processor hard.

sadly no genesis updates for me tonight. Have the bodies machined. Instead of finishing them i ended up burning too much time putting new switch housings(that are ego accessory compatible) on the e power i picked up. Let me tell you, it was kind of a pita. i think they could have done a few things differently and everything would have been quick and easy.

hopefully i'll get the genesis up and running on friday or saturday.

I may be over stepping, but would you have any interest in sharing your drawings? I'd be happy to model them up in solidworks and i am interested in making one to play with.

I already did somewhere, here is the non-ego version:
GEN v3.jpg

Can rework the ego version and get it up...
