After speaking with the good people of Good Prophets (good juice, btw), I'm starting to think it may be a mixture of the juice and the delivery system. Some juices don't absorb well in to the filler so when you take a draw, you pull raw juice in with the vaporized juice. I think the burning sensation is a result of the raw juice hitting the back of your throat.

I have had the same throat problem with different juices, vendors and delivery systems. I don't thinks its so much in the pg, vg or quality of juice. I have sampled too many at different pg/vg levels with different systems and it still will cause the throat problems. I really suspect it has to do with the pepper flavor and how much is added. Some system heat and vapor the pepper harsher and hotter than say a milder lower volt system. Also the quality of nicotene added to the juice mix can causes throat problems just like in analogs cigs when a smokers changes from a light cig to a full flavor. I also give vote for Dekang. True Dekang not the knockoff dekang. Blueberry is really good.

I just received a usa red and a usa light from MFS and tried them out and decided that I loved their liquid. I jumped on line and ordered 10 more bottle only to find that later that evening after vaping them all day that my throat tongue and lungs felt like they were on fire! I to sense the pepper after awhile and am now sure to be out 70 bucks all together. This is such a disappointment. I tried Halo torque 56 and it taste like bitter grapes. I just received some camel dekang and so far its not to bad but has only steeped a few hrs. It seems to me that they always seem ok till they steep and then become unvapable. I have only been vaping a few weeks but am starting to think about going back to smoking as my bank account drains and I still at least at this point have no refill liquid that I like.

I have found when I started all tobaccos tasted peppery to me and PG made my mouth hurt.

What I did was:

1 at the time I was 6v vaping, I went to 3.7 durning the day and only 6v late at night

2 I found a lower nic ( I went from 36 to 24 and some in 18)

3 I found juices in higher PG burned my mouth so I only vape 70vg/30pg now everyday, with the 50/50 ones late at night ( they still give me heartburn though!)

I think just like smoking, your body has to get used to vaping, but lowering the amount and temperature helps. You can always mix the 2 or add more VG to make them to your liking. Hubby and I did alot of mixing different ones together in the bathroom until we found a mixture that worked for each of us. I hope this helps!

Lacedolphin, I have ordered these same two juices in 100% VG and am going to vape the VG ones and if they r any better I will know its the PG. I would gladly buy all 10 new ones in VG and mix em with the PG based ones if I find it would save them. I have tried lower nicotien and am left going crazy with nick fits lol so i cant lower it any. I have the cig 20 ( a cheapy) from the cig store near here so I dont think its any more than 3.7 volts. Probably less I bet. Thanks for the advise.

Ok I tried straight vg from MFS and it burned as well. I also tried a sample with only 12 mg nicotine because they threw in a 12 mg caramel cappuccino and it also burned. Its gotta be the flavorings. I wonder if unflavored is truly unflavored liquid and if maybe that should be my next step? If you wanted to add your own flavors would it be that hard? Is it as simple as adding a few drops of one flavor or do you usually need many different ones mixed together? Has anyone here vaped unflavored juice and if so how was it? I am starting to think it would be better to try ten different things in a week for less money then to keep ordering tons of flavored juice that ends up burning. Have you ever heard of a person who can't tolerate any juices or flavors at all?

I'm not sure if it's the quality of the nicotine, artificial flavors, or perhaps even added alcohol. When it comes to e-juice, less is more. I only order from places that use only the necessary ingredients (no colorong, etc.).

I think the quality of nicotine is the culprit for me. I can get a pre-mixed (with nic) juice and it will burn me up, but I can get that same company's flavoring, put my no-flavored nic into it, and it's fine. Oh, well...different strokes, I guess.

Joining in the discussion because I have been experiencing almost the same issues from day one. I wouldn't have thought to define my throat issues as burning but more like a huge lump however the more I think about it, that could be exactly what it feels like.

And now that you mention quality of nicotine vafromnc, you may have hit upon something. I thought I had it narrowed down to coconut, caramel, and sugar substitutes but maybe not. I definitely know my problem is VG but there is something else causing my throat problems.

I've been in to the doctor twice with a reaction and I find it odd that two different doctors have put me on Nexium and the next day, my throat is back to normal until I go back to vaping certain juices. This past week it was so bad that I was to the point of wondering... is this really worth it.

I would love to find out if those of us experience the same issue with the same vendor and flavor in order to narrow down the culprit because like many stated, it's getting too expensive.

When I first started vaping I had the same problem but by trial and error I found that a high PG was the culprit and higher nic made it even worse. Now I order a higher VG than PG and lowered my nic from 36 ( got me off cigs) down to 24 or 18 mostly. I also found that the more tobacco in the juice also is irritating so I leave them for my hubby now ( as I rarely crave a analog now anyway).

Even in the same company, some still irritate me and some don't. It seems for me anything with vanilla, peanut butter, chocolate, or fruit as the base of the flavors are safe but the tobaccos and candy ones just kill me.
My hubby is the opposite! He gets a tight chest with anything but the tobaccos! :/ strange isn't it??

We have found a few vendors that seem safe for us both thankfully but we still like to try different samples from all the different vendors. Its still alot more fun than smoking!!

Hi Lacedolphin.

My highest nic level was 12mg but now it's 6mg. Initially I did try a higher nic and instantly had a reaction. I also did 100% PG then VG. I thought I was experiencing a heart attack with the 100% VG so I know that is definitely a culprit.

I don't like tobacco so that's not a culprit for me however I would agree with the vanilla. I also tried organic from a vendor, ooooooooh no way that so far has been my worse reaction.

Yesterday I received some juice from 2 different vendors and oddly I ordered sugar cookie on purpose to test the sugar but it's not sweet and so far I have no problems with it but instantly did with his other flavors.

So far I have only one vendor where every flavor works but their juice just isn't that great... go figure!

It would sure make my life easier if the vendors would list individual ingredients on each of their flavors.

I wasn't going to post the vendors but you all seem to need some help! :)
I use ECblend and Ms.Ts mostly, with a couple here and there from Kokomo pure vapor, hellavapor and some others. It seems the pre-mixed ones that sit on a shelf until ordered kick me good, where as the smaller companies or ones that mix it fresh when you order are the ones that don't irritate me. I also found that organic or not, didn't matter but for others that could be something to look into. My hubby does well with the non-sweetened juices so you could try that too. When we are trying a company we will order only 1 or 2 samples, not the sample packs until we know if they will work for us or not and that saves alot of money and frustration. We also got with a few other people and juice swap to try more companies without having to buy anything and to see what works and what does not. Some vendors will even send you a sample free if you contact them, explain the issue, and promise to order more if you find it works for you. I wouldn't say go lie to get free juice because that is just WRONG but alot of vendors hear this all the time and the ones that are proud of thier product will be happy to help you out if they know they will have a good customer who will share with others having the same problem. It's good business for them, and you get to figure out what works for you without going broke.

Hope that helps! ((hugs))

ECblend is one of the vendors I received yesterday. I'm going to let mine steep but I did find some flavors worked, at least initially.

Candy @Vape-a-licious is great and will also work with you. I love her Cola but not all of her flavors work.

I think (for me) the solution is to stick with 1 flavor juices until I can work this out. I was just hoping someone had the magical solution.
