Which control ring would I need to get to replace the one on my SSGGTS, the 7mm or the 8mm? They both seem to be current items and are showing in stock.

Thanks.

My caliper says you'll need the 7mm for the SSGGTS, I assume the 8mm control ring is for the UFS. But it's a very cheap caliper I'm using.

UFS extenders for atomizers will be ready in 1 week Kill:)
Dang, I missed out on the UFS atty extenders :( I have been meaning to pick up a fuse kit, though, so nice to see that in stock. Off to order . . .

EDIT: AAAAAAAAAH! I missed the fuse kits, too :(

You are right gredie:)

Thank you... I guess the confusing part is that they are both listed in the GGTS Parts section and have the following descriptions:

7mm GGTS Replacement Control Ring older 7mm
GGTS Nickel Plated Replacement Control Ring Nickel Plated. This is the older style 7mm Size.

8mm GGTS Replacement Control Ring 8mm
GGTS Nickel Plated Replacement Control Ring Nickel Plated. This is the New Style 8mm Size.

I like the idea of the 8mm since it's thicker. I'm just not sure if it will fit.

Using a control ring with 8mm you'd loose 1mm of space for opening the airflow even the ring is fitting on the GGTS.

That's a good point, didn't think about that... But I wonder if that would really matter for me. Here's what I mean... The control ring can be rotated two full turns. But I feel like most of the airflow control really happens within the first half a turn. After that the airflow seems to be about the same for the remaining 1.5 turns so loosing 1mm might not make any difference for me. I'm curious, is that how it's on yours?

You are right on this Vapor but the remaining turns still give a difference on air flow. Smaller but exists

Thank you for confirming that. And I agree, there is some subtle difference toward the top but I usually like to be closer to the bottom. I think I might try the 8mm if it will fit.

I do have a question for you, if you don't mind... I wonder how the airflow control would work if the four holes were in a vertical position or at a 45 degree angle. What's the reason for designing the four air holes to be all in a horizontal line? Thank you.

Got my 8mm CR... I get almost one full turn with the 8mm instead of two full turns with the 7mm CR which is still more than I need to get the full range of the amount of airflow control I use.

And I really like the way it looks and the way it fills the gap! :thumb:

Thanks.
