It is the 36 mg I got here they were making a big deal over. Not the 18 mg. I know it is a high amount and I don't vape on it all the time. But hell sometimes I need that high amount. lol. Plus I am not going to waste free gifts from another friend.

I vaped 36 mg for well over a year when I started vaping, chain vaping at times to beat the craving. Didn't reduce drastically, went to 30 mg for a long while, and now after 4 years I find that 12mg - 15mg is enough to satisfy me. I smoked 1-1/2 PAD, nothing excessive or unusual.

Use what works to keep yourself from smoking. And read through this study by a well respected doctor....Nicotine absorption from electronic cigarette use: comparison between first and new-generation devices : Scientific Reports : Nature Publishing Group it discusses nicotine levels necessary for successful e-cig useage. (give a copy to your sister)

One of the study's findings was....

Based on the results of this study, showing very low levels of nicotine absorption from using ECs in a similar way to smoking one tobacco cigarette, it seems that nicotine levels in EC liquids should be close to 50 mg/ml in order to approximate nicotine delivery from smoking. This could also result in reduced daily EC use and liquid consumption, since the amount of nicotine needed by each user could be obtained by reducing the time and intensity of EC use.

Overall, I agree that most would stop vaping. Think of it this way we (former analog smokers) started smoking pretty much crappy tasting cancer causing death sticks. We over time learned to enjoy the flavor. Why? Because of the reward of the nicotine. I tried vaping some non-nic juice when I first quit six years ago. Basically, it was pointless to me. A big part of the e-juices tasting so good is the reward systems in the brain being activated such as with Pavlov's dogs.

I stayed off cig's for three and a half years and then finally decided to go back to smokes. Why? Nicotine is a powerful psycho-active neural modulator. In plain speak it is one of the best mental health drugs around. I am now switching over to vaping. Basically, if a time came where I could not get my vape on, I would start chewing the gum for the nicotine. Am I addicted? Yup. Have they shown any ill-effects to reasonable nicotine intake? Nope, and I have done hundreds of hours of academic research on this topic. The worst effects found on straight nicotine are questionable e.g. inconclusive. The best results show that it is better than most mental health drugs. So, ask yourself why would you want to quit a habit as health as coffee, pop or any other form of caffeine? Reason because society has an unrealistic view of nicotine that can directly be attributed to the anti-tobacco movement. Lets see how 99% of the country would respond if we took away their caffeine.

NO! You evil, evil person, :) I need that caffeine too! Without alkaloids, I'd be a bum.

Next time they annoy you, walk up to the most annoying one, put your arm around their shoulders, give them a squeeze and say "I love you too"! It'll shut them up every time! :D

Actually, if it's your brother-in-law, nothing works quite as well as a big juicy kiss on the lips. Shuts 'em up every time!
(That advice was for James, not for Nana!)

I just love how when some people see you blow out a vapor cloud they go off on a rant of how you your still smoking. I try to explain how its not smoke but a vapor cloud and it doesnt have tar nor the other 4000 chemicals a cig has and doctors prefer it to cigs yet they are so closed minded that they dont want to hear you. Anything to rain on your parade type of people.

Tell them about "Self Titration". Basically your body self limits the amount of nic you intake. Ever notice when you vape you can be vaping along then at some point you pick up your ecig again not even realizing you ever set it down from the previous vape. When you've had enough nic you just naturally stop without thinking about it. Of course if your liquids nic level is way high for you you could get the symptoms of too much nic, then you just use a lower% nic level liquid.

:D

They'd **** themselves if they knew what I vape.

And I'd tell them to seek truth and knowledge for they are power. The power to hold an intelligent, informed conversation with me about my choices... or another conversation on the same topic, period.

You're aware of your choice. If they want to be involved in that choice they need to step it up and take responsibility for their own information prior to enforcing dubious second hand misconceptions.

Yeah... part of the problem is, not even vapers are informed about this stuff. There is nothing inherently wrong with vaping 36mg, plenty of people do it all day every day. There are so many variables involved that nic strength alone means almost nothing. 36mg in a 2.5ohm carto at 3.7v could feel the same(nic wise) as 6mg in a 0.5ohm dripper. Then you have the variables of airflow, vaping technique, are you a mouth only vapor, mouth to lung, direct lung, nose exhaler, do you hold your vape in?

My point is, you vape what you vape, and if it helps you accomplish your vaping goals, be that not smoking, or cutting back, then it works.
