Hi,

I tried a few ecigs maybe 3-4 years ago, I do not remember the brand names and where I got them exactly. I remember being satisfied in terms of flavor and vapor, but the maintenance drove me crazy, between battery not lasting a whole day and having to refill the juice at least once a day, also I remember it got expensive where you can only use the cartomizers just once and had to get new ones or try to use some srot of material to reue the cartomizers which was a pain. I just got fed up and gave up, and went back to cigarettes.

Looking back I am hoping some of the technology has improved, and much easier to use with less hassle, where I only have to fill it up maybe once a day or every two days and not very messy?

If so can anyone recommend some models? A friend mentioned Vea by Johson Creek. Anyone else use it and like it? any pros/cons?

Thanks

I am new to vaping in the last few weeks. I am using a black chrome Vamo w/ Kanger t3's and ProTanks. I'm very happy so far. I am using Efest 18650 batts and a trustfire charger.

The ProTank is a lovely piece, my batts are lasting me multiple days, and if I fill a tank it'll last me anywhere from 2-4 days... that last point, of course, will be subjective depending on your usage.

Hope that helps!

Thanks for info so when you have to refill juice, do you have to replace the entire cart with a blank cart?

Or you can just refill the existing cart? how many times can you use that existing cart? I vaguely remember in each cart there was like this filling paper that sort of soaked up the juice, and you had to replace that, but had to find the right material, I remember at one Point used something from a pet store for fish, cannot remember the name.

a kanger is a "clearomizer" which you can use for several weeks and then toss (in the case of the c4 type) or replace just the wick/atty portion (kanger, and the v2 c4 types) which is cheaper.

I just started too, and i bought a big battery and 4 clearomizers. 2 vivi novas (top coil replaceable), a kanger T3 (bottom coil replaceable), and a c4 (top coil replaceable)

What I am preferring right now and would reccomend (still being a newbie mind you!) is a couple of 1300 spinner batteries and some c4 clearos.

you top off the juice once it's used up and replace the coil or the entire c4 when spent (several weeks)
not nearly as fiddly as what you remember.

the c4 is 1.8ml...which lasts me all day, but I can't understand how someone can vape 20mls a day like some claim. I am vaping quite a lot and would be hard pressed to vape 2mls!

I just got a regular 650ego as a "backup" type battery and I can DEF taste the difference between the variable voltage on my spinner and the standard ego, not to mention vapor production. I'm planning on buying 2 more spinners pretty soon. Ego twists are the same concept.

a few coworkers got a standard ego set (900 mah I believe) for 100 bucks at a local shop and were interested in my spinner VV and I linked them here after seeing it a few times on other posts. pretty good set methinks :)

I own a JC Vea. It's a great PV for what it is.
Really well built & classy looking too.
But you're limited to using Johnson Creek cartos.
It's low voltage & doesn't play well with clearos.
Other 510 prefilleds from Blu & Jet vape well on it.
JC has a quick kit now for around $30.
I would recommend it. But it's not a primary device.
Best bet would be something like a variable volt eGo.
Joyetech Twist or Vision Spinner.
For the same cost as the Vea. You would be totally set.

If you really want to give Vaping a good go...skip the looks like a Cig and step it up a Notch...trust me...this will save you some $$ and heart ache in the long run!

Those carts that you were referring to, don't hold much, so yes, You'll have to refill. If you are wanting something you can charge once a day, if that...fill up once every day or two...here's what I would get...this is pretty much what I (and LOTS of others) started out with, from the recommendations of the fine folks here at ECF.

This is a Vision Variable Volts Battery 1300mAh...you roughly get 1 hour of run time per 100mAh..so if you aren't wanting to charge that often, go with the 1300mAh Vision.

Vision Spinner VV eGo Battery 1300mAh

I would get 2..that way when one goes dead, you can still vape while the other charges.

You'll need a charger...

Joyetech eGo Rapid USB Charger

Then, I would get 2 of these

Vision Vivi Nova Tank System - Plastic Tube

These hold a good amount of juice and are almost foolproof. Each one comes with three different heads...so when one goes out, you'll have back up...if you get 2 tanks...you'll have 6 heads. I suggest at least 2...because if you are like most...you want to try out different juices to find what you like.

Then, there's loads of vendors out there selling the "ejuice"...you'll need to get some of that.

I know this sounds like a good chunk to spend at first...but this will actually save you money..because you won't waste $$ on a cig a like, just to turn around and get this anyhow.

I was so happy when I got all this info when I first started out. These really are great batteries and tanks...well worth the $$

I bought 3 of the Viva Tanks over a month ago, and have yet to have any of my heads go out. They are VERY easy to refill. Just take the top off and fill, replace top. You will want to wash out in between flavor changes though. Just take it all apart and run under warm water real good. I personally let mine air dry before using again...because I have other tanks to use while it's air drying. If not, you can dry it all with a clean paper towel. If I use mine for the same flavor..about every 3rd tank, I'll take it apart and wash it. Just make sure you buy the Viva Nova Brand...not a knock off. Heard of a lot of problems with the knock offs. My Vape Store is a REALLY good vendor with Fast Ship time. They have a coupon code floating around here on the Forum if you want to use it...let me know and I'll find it for you.

Also...there are so many different flavored juices out there. When my husband and I first started, we both said we didn't care about any of that flavored fruit stuff...just wanted Tobacco...now a month later, I have about 15 bottles of sweet/fruit flavors! LOL Tobacco is still our man vape though.

If you have any more questions, just give a yell!

Thanks for the help lilmrsyeti

If you know of any coupons that would be awesome and a vendor you recommend.

Pretty much I want to buy one, that is sort of a set and forget it. Meaning I recharge it once a day like my cell phone, I gues I can charge it with USB if i need that. And just fill it once a day.

To give you an idea I smoke about 1/2 pack a day normally, so not sure what equates in vaping, and if it will last an entire day without having to refill?

If you'll click on the blue writing in my first post...the post showing you everything you will need...that will take you to each item at myvaporstore. I highly recommend that vendor.

Most people Vape a good bit more than what they smoked cigs...just because once you get some good juice going, you don't want to quit, its just that good. LOL

The charger I gave you the link for, is a USB charger...for faster charging, if you already have a wall plug adaptor, that will work. I was over 1 pack a day smoker, I with that Spinner battery I Gave you the link to, about every day and a half, needs charged. Most people just charge it up at night when they go to bed.

The coupon code for myvaporstore is 5ecf it will give you 5%o ff your order...put it in at checkout.

If you have any questions, you can send me a Private Message...just click on my name there to the left...this section of the forum moves fast and its hard to keep up with the posts.

I'd also add on a dripping atomizer if the kit you get doesn't have one. These a great for testing out new juice without wasting it in a tank/clearo. You just drip 3 to 4 drops of the juice in and vape 8 to 10 puffs. This will give you a taste of what the flavor will be like in your tanks. Hope this helps ya out.

I'm in the same boat right now. I had the Blu. I purchased bcs the carts were easy to purchase at any tobacco store near me. But... I got a defective kit which just made me not even wanna try it again bcs aside from it burning up inside (and oh I have pics!) the battery life sucked. The carts would last a few puffs and the I tasted fire. Nice right. So I went to the Halo G6. LOVE THE ECIG AND ALL THE JUICES. My problem. I can't buy carts anywhere. And I am spending a fortune. It's killing me. It's cheaper to smoke cigs. But I haven't. I'm close tho. Because for reason when I refill the carts after the second refill. No matter what the atomizer must get wet and then I am out a newly filled cart. Bcs all I taste is that burnt taste. And I use a needle cap. Or use Smokenjoey's "condom method" for refilling. But. From what it sounds the ecig I use. Which I absolutely LOVE. would b perfect for you. If you only wanna fill it once or twice a day you will be good. I'm a chain vaper lol. And I've learned I need a mod or a tank. But when I'm out. I use the ecig with my carts. The carts are very easy to fill with The halo G6. Very easy. And there's one method which I'll send u the YouTube link of from Smokenjoey which has saved me a ton of aggravation. I think you'll be very pleased based on what you wrote with the Halo G6. As I am still very pleased with it. I am aware it is what I am doing that is the problem!! Lol. I'm trying to refill the carts tooooo much. They also sell prefilled carts. Which may be great for you. And your choice of an automatic or manual battery or one of each so you can see which you like. If Smokenjoey has them rated #1. Ecig it's for a reason!!!! Plus. The starter kit is great at only $44.99. With 2 batteries. 5 carts (blank or prefilled) I love the customer service. I love everything about Halo. Especially the juices. Yummmm. Give it a shot. (& mention me if you do. I'll give you my info if you choose to!) also for your first order use Smokenjoey as the coupon code and get 5% off.
(I am not affiliated with Halo or Smokenjoey. Just a huge vaper who recently started out and the halo company has been great. Smokenjoey is the man when it comes to vaping reviews and he has been totally helpful as well.)
I can tell you this. I haven't touched a cig. Only an ecig. I figure it may cost a bit more. But a small price to pay to quit smoking cigs and its worked. Frustrating a bit yes. But in the long run you'll prefer vaping over cigs. I promise! Good luck and try the G6. If you do lemme know. I'll send you to the links for simple filling. But I wouldn't use the same cart after like 3-4 refills. Seems no matter what they burn out after that. And for REALLY SIMPLE AND NO MESS. they have mini tanks. Ohhh sooo easy!!!! 1-2-3 drip in and vape with no polyfil. Check it out. If you're not happy. They back their product 100%. Don't smoke! Vape!!
