Thanasi thank you for my brand new GGTS and congratulations on creating this mechanical beauty! (Χρονια πολλα σε σενα και την οικογενεια σου και για τη σημερινη γιορτη)

One thing I noticed when trying to replace the steel button axis with the brass one, was that the brass was about half+ mm longer.. Is there a reason for that or it was random and only in my part? I am asking because I so prefer to adjust the button's throw as short as it gets and this is not possible with this axis..

Thanks in advance for your answer
Thanos ;)

If you have enough thread on the axis where the button screws on, you can file/sand a mm or more off.

hi my friend Thanos and thank you for your wishes. I wish you the same and more:)
Button's brass axis is a little longer because steel head will go deeper inside brass axis, so the final path will stay the same. So if you want to have the shortest path then you have to screw a little more the axis and the head together:)

Hi IMeo, my both engraved tube was pretty beat up too.. There are lots of deep scratches.. So sad that a brand new gg was worst than old gg.. I try polishing using autosol.... But just unable to get rid of the deep scratches.. The engraved tube now looks very shinny after polish but when look closer, the tube is not even/smooth ..... Quite disappointed actually...
