I haven't started vaping yet - my first kit just shipped. I wanted to buy tons and tons of stuff - I had to be very stern with myself. I think it's sort of "I'm doing a good thing and saving tons of money in the long run and besides they're pretty and and what about mocha? Have to try mocha... and um cognac, and um....
I'm so incredibly grateful for these forums - I've learned so much since I first stumbled in, and it's helped me choose what I think will work best for me, and know what to try if it doesn't... and how in the world would anyone know how to fill carts and all that stuff without it?

Yes, my feelings exactly!! If it were not for this forum, i wouldn't know half of what i've learned.

It seems like you already got a lot of people trying to make you feel better <3

I'm sure I can't say anything that hasn't already been said. So just listen to others. I'm just coming out of this phase myself and going - "Yeah okay, 30 total oz's of juice, 5 atties, 5 batteries, 3 syringes, and a roly kit is probably enough for now.."

PS: I have a ps3. All I play is rockband. It's not worth it. LOL

Going on 4 months vaping, 2 months analog-free (down from 2 ppd):

Total spent: 899.44
Total saved: 1713.36 (24 cartons @ 71.39/carton that I didn't buy)
====================================================
Net savings: $ 817.92

(There's probably another $10-20 spent on needles, syringes, contact lens holder for dipping, etc.)

So, "long term" I've cut my nicotine expenses by almost half, and I expect it will go lower.
I will have to buy more juice & atomizers within the next couple weeks.

(And I'm starting to feel a craving - but I think it's for an eGo.)

I've spent probably around 1600.00 since the first of Sept. 09. But I've got 2 coppers, 15 attys, 14 VK batteries, tons of cartomizers, other batts for my mods, chargers and juice galore. But that didn't stop me from spending another ton of money on juice this month trying to find the "perfect" one. I think I need to sell some of my juice, it's really ridiculous how much I have here. I don't want it to go bad. Even so, if I stop now, I'll break even in about 6 weeks and have enough stuff to last for a couple of years. I'm still using the original copper mod I bought, wow, that thing is going to last forever, no doubt, those were super investments for vaping, basically indestructible mods. But I had to have my V4L gear for out and about, can't vape with a copper on the road too well. (good enough excuse for me to buy another type of ecig). I think I'm just about done with buying now, though. Time to sit back and use up what I have and reap the benefits of all this inventory... just as soon as my order from Ms. Ts Bakery essentials gets here, that is. LOL

My first 510 kit and 30 ml juice lasted me through the first couple months vaping and got me off analogs. Over the next months I've bought some different devices - Janty Stick, Mega batts, Puresmoker PT and lately, the Puresmoker V2. Total hardware outlay around $500. I really don't see going after any new hardware soon. My V2 is my car, home & hotel vape. I use the PT all day at work. And my 510/mega rigs are in my pocket all day for quick vapes here and there (as well as airports/planes). My Janty stick is pretty much riding pine since I got the V2. So I've got a few 3.7v devices and a few 5v devices. I feel pretty good to go for a while. When Janty finishes the Tesla or someone else solves the juice flow problem, I'll jump back in.

On the juice end I bought a gallon of PG for $24, a couple bottles of VG at CVS, a couple bottles of TW 54mg mixing juice and a bunch of flavors. I feel like I'm good to go for a long time before I need to invest in anything on the juice end. I'm down to 6mg nic in my DIY mixes and have every intention to go Zero nic when the TW juice runs out.

Yeah it was an investment initially, but the costs have really tapered off and don't begin to approach analogs. The health benefits are unmeasureable. I can jump on the treadmill for 30 min and not even breathe hard anymore. I play hockey and my endurance has improved dramatically!

No matter what, it's the smartest thing I think I've ever done for myself!

Ok so ive been vaping for around a month now and i think ive spent a little over 375 on juice and accessories in the past three weeks!?! And i cant stop myself from thinking i need more stuff!.. 'hey i could use an extra atty or 9 (when i have 5 back ups already)' or
'hey, even tho i have about 9 different menthols now.. and havnt even broke the seal on half of them. i wonder how these 3 suppliers make there menthol, ill take em!!'...
and 'hey, i have 6 batteries already, but shhhoooot, i could use another 2 (for what? i dunno)'

so im just curios, have any of you seasoned vapers (or anyone) gone crazy shopping in the beginning? maybe still?

im just trying to justify why i spent almost 400 on things that couldve of waited a while, and say to myself 'hey, this guy did it, now i dont feel so bad  and why i didnt buy a ps3 instead :D

but dam do i love vaping!.. NO REGRETS AH!

I spent about $400 in the first two months, but I've only spent about $100 more in the next 3 and cigarettes are around $8 a pack here and I smoked a pack a day so I still came out ahead. I think its worth it especially with the health benefits

 I just hit quote on this message and it quoted ALL the messages.

Anyway, not counting the attys I'm using, I have 60 others stashed away and the making for juice for at least four months.

Edit: I should add about 15 batteries and then there are the mods.
We are all a bit addicted.

We spent about $500 the first month and finally hit the break even point at 3 months. Since then we are about $800-$1,000 under what we would have spent on analogs.
Plus, you have to remember that all your stock is equivalent to having stashes of cig packs or cartons in drawers when you were a smoker. So we're really far ahead of the game cause I never had a stash of analogs.
