1.Big battery, one that lasts all day
2.Automatic liquid drip system. Something that either drips after so many puffs or can be manually activated. No more cotton wicks. Must hold at least 5ml
3. Something that can be clipped on to your belt.
4. An led array that runs up the side of the device so the harder you draw the more leds come on. This also controls the amount of power going to the atomizer. Single led indicates 4 volts, 2 leds mean 4.5 and so on. That way the atomizer gets hotter the harder you draw. This would allow me to control the kick.
5. Make the atomizer chamber so the liquid can not back up into your mouth. A baffle would accomplish this.
6. Make the atomizer a small disposable unit. In other words, don't pull a dse601 and make you throw out the whole pipe.
7. Make a spot on the device to store an extra atomizer. I used to store extra flints in the cotton of my zippo.

Anyone want to add to this?

Done ... you paying for a prototype ;) :D

2.Automatic liquid drip system. Something that either drips after so many puffs or can be manually activated. No more cotton wicks. Must hold at least 5ml

5ml Cartridge would be HUGE. 2-3ml tops. Its hard to do though because flooding an atomizer is very very easy. Flooding an atomizer will not only hurt the atomizer but can also kill the battery. I agree, a liquid container would be AWESOME, its a matter of sealing it so the cartridge contents don't leak everywhere.

3. Something that can be clipped on to your belt.

Pen holder style ... I like ... Don't think the girlies would approve though! lol

Cool idea ... Cost wise though ... hmmmm

5. Make the atomizer chamber so the liquid can not back up into your mouth. A baffle would accomplish this.

I never get liquid in the mouth. You sure you ain't doin something wrong?

6. Make the atomizer a small disposable unit. In other words, don't pull a dse601 and make you throw out the whole pipe.

Already made ... Its a different type of design, the heating coil actually runs through the cartridge itself. Search loongtotem.

7. Make a spot on the device to store an extra atomizer. I used to store extra flints in the cotton of my zippo.

The problem is, there is a tear in what members want. Some want to see the market move towards disposables, others want to see the market move towards odd shaped ecigs ... This would definitely work for the latter :)

Good Ideas Rob!

Di, that's a pretty damn good idea. I think I might just do that.

Partly for my own reference, as well as everyone else's benefits, I've dug up links.

a 801 usb from beci chen
US$10.30
http://www.bestecig.com/product_view.asp?ID=35

a 801 atomizer
US$6.50
http://www.bestecig.com/product_view.asp?ID=4

a 4 x AA battery - usb power box from darkwirer
AU$6.95
http://www.darkwire.com.au/html/usb_battery_pack.html

Also cartridges:
US$2.50 for 5
http://www.bestecig.com/product_view.asp?ID=3

This comes to a total of AU$36.45 with the current exchange rate, or US$23.85

thanks for the links,
I am a bit slow getting started today,
only just logging on for today at 5pm......

I call it - ... in a bag -

cos I put it all together
and put the battery box
and excess wire in a leather pouch,
then I have ... in a bag,

carry the pouch, or put it in pocket,
or on string round neck like a neck pouch.

Di .....

Along the lines of a new form factor:

How about an e-cig that looks like a cup of coffee? Plenty of room for a few D cell batts, two large atomizers - like a backup engine for when the primary fails, and a mini IV drip for juice. Buttons along the side to control manual switch for the battery pack, another button to drip a drop of juice, and an emergency kill switch just in case the manual switch got stuck in the on position. Optional LED on the lid. Then the cup of coffee I'm walking around with all day, could actually be my ecig. You could make some look like leg flasks for the secretive boozers, fifths in a paper bag for the flagrant boozers in the bunch, or soda cans for the rest of the population.

SERIOUSLY. I know it sounds a little silly, but it would work for me and probably many others as employers become part of the antismoking reich. It would be discreet and no one would ever question my putting a coffee cup up to mouth.

Who's HG Please?

Heavens_Gate2007 sell on ebay and now directly at Ruyandirect.com Best E-smoking Shop. Reliable and cheap if slow delivery. Also offer good customer service but you need to return faulty items at your own expense. Replacements will cost delivery unless you order something else.

Robw;
The holder is definitely a need. Women don't tend to have shirts with breast pockets. I was thinking that a neck cord - similar to what is used for eyeglasses would be a help. My new cranberry mini is eaier to see. When I laid my 'platinum' mini down in the kitchen, it visually disappeared into the stainless cooking gear laying on the counters. I like your ideas - especially the LED lights up the side.
