It's been raining here in socal for days. Yes, we need water, but not all at once! It was storming so much yesterday I didn't even go to the gym and it looks like we've got days and days more rain coming. Lots of mudslides for the unforunate people north of me. Luckily I'm just getting drenched.

Hey, I'm paying for this "sunshine"! What happened? :D

I guess these storms, 3 or 4 back to back will make their way to the east and cause bedlam there in the form of snowstorms and blizzards eventually. Bundle up people, they're acomin'.

Sorry, Pawpaw, but it's hard not to try and send this bad juju somewhere else.

Whew, the thunder just started up again. Makes a great time for watching scary movies or reading horror novels on the Kindle.

I just saw where there's been tornados touching down here, too and water spouts. Great. No one has houses built for those around here, having them up and down the coast and in Orange County.

This is pretty bad stuff even for our so-called rainy season and all the burn areas don't help matters any, either.

Don't feel bad Pugz, we got the rain coming down in buckets in the San Francisco Bay too. Was caught up in it all night last night - looked like a drowned rat when I was done with work, felt like one too! That's what happens when you work outdoors though. You can take the thunder and lightning back though - not a good mix with airplanes.

Yeah, just stand near a window and the wind will force the water through the window and then through your skin.

Hydration by "High Pressure Osmosis"?

Wind is down to 5.4mph sustained, 6.9 gust, barometer is up a few hundredths of an inch (relative) and only trace rain in the last hour. Looking like a window to run to the store and stock up.

I saw a little bit of sleet last night and it was tapping pretty loud on the sky lights, nothing very big, though. Still really windy here and blowing rain. We went to the gym and then out to eat, there are some huge gusts, like almost knock you down kind of gusts.

Mary Kaye, I'm only about 40 or 50 miles from Corona, so I guess I've got pretty much the same weather as your sister. When I was cleaning out my garden area the other day, I found tomatoes starting to come out again on the plants left from last year. I hope they don't get ruined, if they don't I'll have fresh homegrown maters in just a couple more weeks.

I'm interested to see what these storms are going to be like after they travel to the east, I'm sure it's going to be frigid because these are already cold storms here.

That's funny. From my perspective, they're practically tropical. :) Here it is well after dark and it's almost 50deg F. Most of our winter storms would be dropping 35-38deg F rain and I'd expect by now we'd have been in the teens at least a few times. Our overnight lows are running in the 40's right now (although before the storm we were 30deg F)

PawPaw you know as well as I do that in July we were begging for rain. I believe the water tables are still down from the drought. I think we still need the rain.

Not where I am! Walking on our gravel drive & the county road is like stepping on a sponge. We have ruts in the pasture that could hide a small child! In fact, they may! :(

I'm so glad I'm a swimmer. Doing the backstroke right now.

Seriously, my road in front of my house is washing out, good thing hubby and I both have 4 wheel drive pickups. (road is not maintained by country and is gravel and dirt).

Also, I have a swimming pool in my backyard. (Brand new! no concrete, just mud and water)

This is just gettin' plain silly now.
