I've only been vaping for about a day or two, but I've tried almost 10 different flavors already and they all seem to taste virtually identical to me, and it's not in a good way. Nothing tastes even remotely like the label says, and it's overpowering. Not a burnt raste as far as I can tell, and the kit is brand new - a Storm 2.0 from Vapor King and yes, I know I paid way too much already. The liquids are from High Caliber, EC Blend, and Hangsen (I'm lucky to know an online retailer that lives basically right down the street from me). I've been a PAD smoker for about 3 and a half years, so I'm willing to accept it if it's just that my taste buds are all dead, but if there is something I'm doing wrong, I'd like to fix it.

I'd like to keep vaping, but frankly cigarettes taste better than what I have. Out of 10 different flavors, I figured I should like at least one of them a lot. Thanks for suggestions/help/advise.

i would start by bringing my kit (device juice delivery and fluids) with me to a B&M store and see if i was in fact doing something wrong... as for no flavor it could be the juices you have... could be bad device, could be burnt taste buds... could be alot of things...

as for the kit it looks like an old tankomizer i used to have and the flavor off of the one i had was amazing... you could try a standard atomizer or a cartomizer see if that gives you more flavor?

ive never had a tankomizer give me a burnt taste at all. usually i just refill the tanks when they are low, what are the flavors you have exactly?

Hi and welcome! Unfortunately, after years of smoking your taste buds are trashed. They will come back, but it takes awhile. It was 2 months before I could taste anything other than menthol or mint. I still can't taste a lot of subtle flavors and some fruits taste like plastic. There are some tips here: Taste Buds and Vaper's Tongue

ETA: I have spent more money on my hunt for juices than all of my other gear put together. Luckily, I found one early I could taste, but it was a menthol/mint, not the Blueberry Crumble Yum Yum Whatever people rave about.

To add to Joe's list of possibilities Are all the juices the same vg/pg blend? 100% pg ? 100%vg?? VG is thicker so if the blend is not "right" for your device it may not wick well. JMO ... I'll let the true vape pro's give a hopefully better reasoning.

It took me a long time to find a vape I enjoyed ...and that has changed over the 4 months I've been vaping. Good Luck!

I put a sample cartomizer on that my new friend gave me from his inventory, and honestly it made things worse. Not sure what is meant by a "standard atomizer" as opposed to what I have now though. Still very new here.

As for flavors, it ranges from caramels to coconut to Mountain Dew... mostly sweet stuff with the exception of "bahama mama" from EC, where it actually burned a bit on the exhale through my nose.

Did you smoke menthol by any chance?

I still haven't found an actual storebought flavor that I like right out of the box. Early on I decided to try to fix the flavors I didn't like. That's what got me into diy. I diluted and added nic and flavors I did like to make some of them semi vapable. That was a year ago and am still at it. My mixes get better all the time but I still like dekang dk-tab for a tobacco base.

I've considered this, but I have small pugs that like to get into everything, and I'm a bit of a mess. Those two factors combined scare me to death. My friend sells dk-tab. Maybe I'll try that and a menthol, things that taste like what I know, to see if it helps. Maybe my taste buds are indeed trashed and I should stick with these kinds of flavors until they've replaced themselves.

It might be best to switch to a menthol even though I'm not a big fan, just to see if that helps... or at least tastes like menthol. That link was a great share. Thanks.

It doesn't have to be menthol itself, it's the "cold" of menthol or mint. EcBlend has a flavor called "Cold Fusion" which is a Koolada base (they call it "Cool Hit") with added flavor shots of you choice.

I would recommend a cinnamon or a 'mint flavor. You'll definitely taste that. Be careful not to put it into a plastic device, though.

Cinnamon definitely will melt clearos and novas. It's turned out to be my favorite though, which is weird since I don't like cinnamon candy.

Everyone love EC Blend today, don't they? That seems like a pretty super cool hitting flavor. I may do that one, but I was meaning to ask what was recommended in parts, since I would melt the plastic tanks I have now.

I like them, but my favorite vape is RH Candy Cane from Vixen Vapor. I didn't recommend it first, because it is a serious tank cracker!
