I may be wrong, but I noticed that the single thick wick used on the 2.8 ohm and short wick coil heads are less prone to burning and lasts longer than the multi thread thin wicks used in the long wick 2.4 and 1.8 ohm coil heads. I noticed less blackening and it also soaked up the fluid much easier than the long thin wicks with multiple threads coming out of the head.
Anybody else notice this? Could be my imagination but I feel the single thick yarn found on the short wick and 2.8 ohm heads to be superior
Picture for reference: multi thin wick shown on left, single thick wick shown on right (better)
