Something is wrong...

So after all the rave reviews, a couple of friends and I placed an order for the Rath e-liquid. It came in yesterday, and I got to try out the Cinnamon and Waffle last night. The Cinnamon is pretty good, I can see that becoming part of my standard all-day favorites.

The Waffle is merely "ok". I can definitely taste both the waffle/bread-like flavor, along with a finishing flavor of maple. The thing is, it leaves this dry, bitter feeling on my tongue. At first I thought I had maybe numbed my tongue after enjoying the Cinnamon, but even this morning I've gotta say this liquid doesn't seem right. The true flavor seems hidden behind a not-very-good-at-all character. This was tested in a fresh KR808 carto.

This afternoon I opened up the Caramel flavor and filled another fresh cartomizer. Only one word - nasty. Seriously. Extremely bitter taste, hard to describe because I didn't feel safe by continuing to puff on it. I always try to be objective when thinking about stuff like taste, but this made me gag.

I thought maybe I had a bad carto. I rinsed it out with hot water and then PGA, blew it dry, let it sit for a couple hours (standard procedure for getting rid of blech flavors) and refilled with Cinnamon. The carto worked fine.

And yes, I always make double sure to shake the hell out of any liquids. I don't know where to go from here, because I think there is definitely something wrong with at least the bottle of Caramel. Maybe not so much with the Waffle, but I wasn't expecting the dry/bitter aftertaste.

Any thoughts?

Honestly adam.. This is something you should have come to me personally on my site e-mail or contacted me through the site. But I too have liquid i dont like. Lots of them sitting here collecting dust lol. But Yes, Rath is fairly new in the liquid production world and has been fine tuning things. In that last batch rath had tried to do what people wanted and made the flavors stronger. Well he has since reverted back to his recipie that everyone has liked. And it is on order and im waiting for a new batch. Us as a supplier have passed along the user feedback to help him in his production. he is getting larger by the day and is moving to a bigger lab so he can start making larger batches. and with larger batches will come more consistancy in flavor. I will check out the caramel myself thats one of the flavors i have not tried as of yet. and i will too pass this along to rath for him to look into. Now i could be a jerk and delete this thread but i wont as this isnt really my fault. but had you contacted me in a little more professional matter i could have attended to it sooner and either replaced the liquid or offered you a credit of some sort. His new waffle will not be nearly as dark as this batch was and wont have such a heavy flavor.

and i must also note that everyones taste buds are different. i personally dont mind the waffle etc. And also keep in mind that these liquids are VG based not PG based so they do have some different characteristics...

I thought I was very professional. I visit plenty of different areas of this forum, and some of the stuff that gets posted is ridiculous. If I was bent on being unprofessional, I'd be cross-posting complaints about Eletronicstix specifically, and demanding immediate replies and a refund or replacement. But I've done none of that. Never said it was your fault, was just hoping for some feedback/help to figure out what is wrong.

Yes and i understand that Milky.. it was the middle of the night when i read that and i was at work and very tired sorry if i seemed crabby. and i do agree that tons of stuff on this forums posts can be utter rubbish. That sadly is one of the reasons i dont frequent this forum as much as i used to. But i do try to maintain my subforum and give feedback on a by daily basis etc.. Again sorry this batch wasnt so great but im sure the future stuff will be a lot better.
