Eveready has a few batteries (Stuck) in research. I worked on not only Nuclear (yes Nuclear) and also newer lithium types.
BUT,
They are afraid of the stupid humans they would be selling to.
You know, the first one to loose a hand in an explosion would sue the piss out of them.
Normally if you would do something to them, they would go into overload and over heat, but on that rare occasion, one would explode like a real large firecracker, like an M1000.
:(
(Lithium and water dont play nice, the machines we worked on were tested with hand granades, and run in a climate controled buildings to eliminate all humidity)
The others, have their problems to, but mostly if eaten, or punctured.
I am not kidding on this, I helped design parts of and build some of the machines that make them. The nicest part i helped design, tested for ones over heating, and right away would discharge them into a special oil bath to cool them .

... am one of those who prefers e-smoking over tobacco. Nothing at all is missing for me, although more consistency and longer lasting batteries would be absolutely brilliant !

I like the taste and the 'feel' of e-smoking much more than tobacco and I would be in serious trouble if, for whatever reason, I couldn't e-smoke anymore, because going back to tobacco cigarettes just isn't an option for me anymore !

After reading this, and being aware of when i light up a regular one, compared to when Vaping I noticed something.
The E-cig seemed to cover the habit portion of the habit, but when the Body habit kicks in, thats when i seem to need the smoke.
I am wondering if there is something in the cigarettes that is not in the E-cig juice, drawing us back to the analog ones.
Maybe we are looking at this backwards, its not what the E-cig is missing, but what the smokes have.

I was smoking a (real) pipe this morning on a fine fall day and thinking of this philosophical thread, with it's all-too-true implication that many of us ex-smokers realize. That's when it dawned on me.

E-smoking is like having sex with a robot.

Same results in the end, probably safer, but ... something's missing.

(Don't ask how I know about robots! I read a long article not long ago about personal robots soon to come, and sex will be the first thing that sells them. It got me thinking.)

Funny you should use that analogy. One of a sexual nature occured to me earlier, e-smoking much as it curbs my needs for a cig most of the time has something of the quality of protected sex as against hot smoking representing unprotected sex.

Having said that got an e-cigar from pillbox today; washed out a cart; dried it and filled it with 36mg French Pipe. Beats the hell out of the 901 I have been using; really full hit and vape. The much slender mouthpiece makes a big difference as well for some strange reason.
