Some thoughts about VTC's. I hear that Sony VTC5 are no longer exist because MAKITA maked a contract with SONY...all MAKITA tools use vtc5 batteries!!! We also can use Samsung or LG but is there any posibility Sony re-release the same or a newer version with higher mAhs?

It's very hard to get ahold of authentic vtc5 battery's. Most are clones since Sony stopped making them. Sony is currently in the process of making vtc5s in a new factory so we should see new authentic vtc5s sometime this year. From my experience samsung 25r battery's and lg he4 battery's are the way to go unless you find an authentic vtc5. Hope that helps some.

Yup, there are no authentic VTC5 on the market right now that I know of. Illumination Supply has authentic VTC4 in stock for $8.50. If you don't need to 30A draw, I would get Samsung 25R.

I bought a sony vtc5 from vape Titans a few days ago. Although they don't match the description of an authentic Vtc 5 outlined here: How to spot a fake Sony VTC5 battery, they DO perform just as well as any other Vtc5 I have used. And for 14 dollars I'm not complaining.

Funny that this just popped up because I just popped into on of the local B&M stores nearby to pick up some liquids. They had a shelf and display for batteries and I thought maybe ill pick up some VTC4's tonight. Asked to look at one and it said it was a VTC5 so I asked the manager if she new that they are not currently making VTC5's and she got all upset with me saying that they are absolutely "authentic"
They were charging $20 a piece for MXJO and skeptical VTC5's..
