It's very hard to get ahold of authentic vtc5 battery's. Most are clones since Sony stopped making them. Sony is currently in the process of making vtc5s in a new factory so we should see new authentic vtc5s sometime this year. From my experience samsung 25r battery's and lg he4 battery's are the way to go unless you find an authentic vtc5. Hope that helps some.

VTC5 is not on the market anymore. Be carefull about the fake ones.

Samsung R25 provides excellent performance also

Funny that this just popped up because I just popped into on of the local B&M stores nearby to pick up some liquids. They had a shelf and display for batteries and I thought maybe ill pick up some VTC4's tonight. Asked to look at one and it said it was a VTC5 so I asked the manager if she new that they are not currently making VTC5's and she got all upset with me saying that they are absolutely "authentic" :facepalm:
They were charging $20 a piece for MXJO and skeptical VTC5's..
End sad story :)
