Soon a AVP with VW in a non-tube style design?

I saw this come up while poking around and I like the form factor. The display may be a bit overkill but still it is nice to see something in a different form factor will be around soon.

As far as I know it is only VV and doesn't check resistance either. I am not sure the reviews were great for it either.

It's kind of like if you wanted an itaste MVP that looked more like an old ipod but without a large user base having vetted it already.

Must have missed the Vapros V1. I see the smok has the Groove so maybe that's a better device with the proper functions.

I'd like to think the iTaste MVP v2 will come out this year with ohms checking and VW. That and the new ego connector they just added would make it the best battery included mod.


I have an iTaste MVP which has been solid. I also have VW devices, I use both. I don't necessarily need the ohms checker or VW, I just adjust the voltage to what I think for the listed resistance, then make minor adjustments to taste.

I am interested in how the Groove does too

The vapros is certainly a big unit, not sure why they wouldn't put variable wattage into something like that. Very keen to see how the SmokTech groove performs.

I'm interested too...in a box style VW device. I was surprised when I got my VV Gripper (a gift from a friend here) at how wildly the ohms on cartomizers can vary. I have a Ikenvape 2ohm XL carto on the VVG now that reads at 2.3ohm. I put a Smok 2.5ohm cartomizer on it and it read at 3.4ohm! That ohm reader thing can be VERY important...helps explain renegade atomizers! hahaha!

I just really like the form factor of "box mods" or palm size/shaped APVs like the VVG and the 3.7 Gripper and even the old standard classic box mods. In some ways I like the shape better than a tube APV.

Looks good - OLED screen, 3 button menu similar to Vamo. Wondering what the casing is made of though.

That's the one Cyclotron linked in the OP. I chatted with a vendor rep on this. I asked if its variable wattage and he said yes. When I asked the watts range he gave me the volts range. It isn't a variable wattage device. Thanks for posting the review - Dimitris didn't think it was very good even as a vv device. I think they were trying to copy the MVP.

I'd be happy if the VV Gripper came in a metal case with a better battery door and better 510 connection. Heck..a 510/eGo connection wouldn't hurt. I don't like non-removable batteries much anymore. Would rather switch out a battery than mess with having to switch out devices just because the battery in one croaked. I'd also love it if the VV Gripper added VW!
