Hello again all!

So hers's what's going on. I've come to the conclusion that I may be allergic to PG in Velvet Vapors juice. So I decided to buy some PG/VG from a couple other suppliers to see if it's all PG I'm allergic to, or just theirs. I also ordered some VG juice.

My orders got here yesterday, and what a huge disappointment. The juice that is PG/VG has very little taste and what I can taste isn't to pleasant. This is juice from 2 different suppliers. I'm pretty sure it's not the primer from my new atties because I blew it out, and well, I know what primer tastes like, and its not the primer taste I'm getting. Right now, I'm dripping to try my new flavors out, could that be the source of my problems? To fix this, I filled up one on my carts, stuck it in the atty, and heard a slight hissing, but not vapor. So I thought, maybe it's just this supplier, so gave my VG juice a shot. Dripped some in my atty, no taste at all. I put some in a cart, and when I tried to vape it, I didn't get a sound.

Then my passthrough battery died. DAMMIT! Grabbed my other 2 batteries, also dead. DOUBLE DAMMIT!

So, I am currently biding my time, waiting to my passthrough to get a little charge before I use it again and seriously considering grabbing my butterscotch juice from Velvet Vapors and try to not care that it makes break out in hives.

So, I just have a couple questions for you guys (sorry abou the long rant). Why can't I get anything from my carts? (I have cartos but don't want to fill them up with juice, only to find it gross). Also, where can I get good PG-free juice, that actually has a taste, or maybe a juice that has a higher VG content than PG?

Again, sorry for the rant, but thanks in advance for the advice!

Kallie

Sorry to hear your having problems. Sounds like your allergic to PG.

Many vendors sell juices in 100%VG.

Id also look for vendors that give the option of adding extra flavor, that might help with giving more taste.

Check out BlueMist Vapor. They have alot of juices, 250+. Their prices are really good too. $5 for 10ml, $10 for 30ml.
They also have sample packs which Id recommend you get so you can try a bunch of juices and see what you like.
You can get all their juices in either 80/20 PG/VG or 100%VG. They also offer extra flavor shots for .50cents more.
And if you find a juice you really like you can get a 180ml bottle for $30, which is a really good deal.

Goodluck with it and I hope you find something that works for you!

Thanks guys!

Mynameisrob: One of the other suppliers I tried is Bluemist Vapors. I got their PG/VG juice. So hopefully it'll be good.

Dankie: I sure hope it does, but I've got a Calc II exam in a few hours. I really don't want to kill anybody because I don't understand a question and haven't had my nicotine in a while. lol.

So yeap, passthrough is charging. I'm going to charge my other battery while I'm at school. So all that's going to my head right now is, "Charge faster and please work, please work!"

I really like Velvet Vapors liquids and I have 100% vg but they are really, really thick. I can't use them in my tanks because of the thickness, but have great flavor and th when dripping. I also have pretty good luck in carts even with the consistancy. I havent used it in cartos yet, still waiting on a 510 adapter to try that. I did get extra flavor in mine, because vg is usually more muted than pg, maybe thats why I can taste it better. I hope you get it to work well for you, I hate it when I spend my precious little money on something that I can't get to work right.

First, i would recommend getting some little 306 LR atties to taste test on. The flavor really comes out with these. The only drawback is you might get spoiled and get less flavor when you do cartos. For juices, AVE juice is awesome -- they have a 100% VG line and a 90/10 VG/PG. I have Gorilla Juice and Massive chocolate mint that I cannot put down! Oh and you can request extra flavoring at no extra cost. I have used these in my cartos with no problems. Also Ms. T's bakery tastes wonderful, not sure what their actual mix is but she says it is more VG than PG. Their snickerdoodle is great! I have PG issues too so I use mostly the AVE juice but I have to throw in a little snickerdoodle once in a while and it doesnt bother me. Good luck!

I would not recommend LR without knowing if you are are using slim or fat batteries. LR is not for slim batteries. But there are 306 atomizers that are standard resistance and can be used on slim 510-threaded batteries. They need a different drip tip a 306 drip tip, and if you have auto batteries I would be wary because a 306 can leak if overfilled. I like them because they are easy to blow juice out of and have no outer tube that the last flavor would cling to (though as with all atomizers, the last flavor hangs around inside). BTW I think standard resistance brings out flavor better, LR brings out hit better.

Hives - Have you tried 100% PG w/ no nicotine to determine if the PG is actually the problem? Have you read the threads about hives in the Health section of ECF?

Flavor - You do need to smell the vapor, Your tongue can only sense sweet, salty, bitter, sour and umami (msg) - the rest is aroma. And some vendors have little flavor, some have more, some flavors carry well in vapor, some don't, VG dulls flavors and can block certain flavors more than other (and I think caramel is one of them).

Some good flavors that come through well for me - FreedomSmokeUSA Hopscotch and Pomegranate and Cocoa (though the cocoa has flavoring sediment), Velvet Vapor Raspberry Gingerale, Gourmet Vapor vanillarum (vanilla w/ caramel and rum)

Atomizers - I have a love/hate relationship with atomizers. And BTW everyone hits a point where they can't taste anything. If your atomizer is clean and your batteries are working properly try alternating contrasting flavors or try changing up the flavor of whatever you are vaping by adding bits of other flavors. Blow your nose, remember to smell the vapor, drink cold water to refresh your taste buds. As for dirty coils, gunked up atomizers etc - not much good for tasting anything. And with Ego-T you make need to adjust the atomizer wick. And tanks and reservoir cartos generally like the thickness of 30% or less VG to wick well. You may need to thin your thicker juices with some drops of distilled water.

Batteries - What kind of batteries did you kill? I think you have Ego-T - killed Ego-T batteries? Were you trying 1.5 ohm stuff on them?

I've had good luck with Americaneliquidstore.com on the 100% VG juices. I started on those, and after a couple of weeks tried PG and PG/VG blends.

At first I could barely taste the flavor in VG, but its gotten better. I think its a combination of smoking killing sense of taste and the flavor needing to steep, at least for me. I actually prefer the VG, because the flavor can be overwhelming sometimes with PG. I still feel it in my throat too, so I'm not sure why they say VG has less throat hit, it doesn't for me.

The VG juices from Americaneliquidstore are a little thick, but they work ok in my 510 carts. I have a 10% off code they gave me to pass along to others if you're interested.

Thanks again, everyone!

So, from here I'm thinking of ruling out that I'm a) allergic to the butterscotch flavor (good/or bad idea?) and b) rule out that I'm not allergic to the nicotine.

I've got some other flavors from Velvet Vapors. They were awesome and sent me a 10 ml sample of carmel PG/VG juice. I'll also order some 100% PG juice from them 0 mg of nicotine to see what happens. And if I break out it hives again, whatever, I'm kinda passed caring.

I'll also give some AVE juice a try. Thanks Dotma for the recommendation.

Dormouse: I don't think I killed them, I think they were just dead because my charger hasn't been working properly. Plus, I only use regular resistance atomizers, and both Boge LR and 3.0 ohms resistance cartos. You said to check out the health forum. That's the Wrecked and Bonkers one? or no?

Well, off to take the dreaded Calculus II exam. Someone wanna take it for me? JK, JK.

Thanks again for all the advice!

BTW - I was reading the Virgin Vapor thread. If you order VG juices there and put in the comments that you need them mixed for tanks, they will thin them with 20% distilled water and add extra flavor.

I just ordered my first four of their evily enticing flavors bwahahah - who puts black cherries with marshmallow. And blackberry swirl. And peach swirl. And vanilla chai latte. Obviously I couldn't resist them. Very healthy juices too. Hope they don't have too much sediment.

Virgin Vapor offers 100% PG Free E-liquids that taste wonderful and do not clog cartos or cause wicking problems. I am one who can not use any PG, and also have a very hard time tasting flavors, but I have been using Virgin Vapor's juices for over 7 months now and with her extra flavor option, I have no problems actually tasting them. She will also do special custom orders for extra, extra flavor for those that need it. (no extra $ either!)They are clear to light colored and very good!!!
