The past week or so, I've been 'partying' particularly a lot and eventually came down with a mild cold. Nothing too bad, but I've got a slight runny nose and a slightly sore throat. I haven't been vaping a lot, mostly because it seems to irritate my throat even more. I'm not sure if vaping is causing my throat to stay sore, but it really kinda seems like if I vape before going to bed, I will wake up with my throat feeling even more sore. I tried to vape less but I'm really not THAT sick and I just don't understand why vaping the same stuff would make me worse? Maybe my PG sensitivity has increased? Not sure what to do... I even tried vaping some higher VG stuff and still feel sore. It sucks because I just got a ton of new equipment and I wanna dig into them but... my poor throat. And I've been pounding that water so I am not dehydrated.

I found myself experiencing the same kind of throat issue. I came to the conclusion that I was using my carto's in my tanks way too long. The taste seemed to be good so I thought the carto's were still okay to use. I decided to switch them out to new ones more often and I have not had a sore throat since. Don't know if that will help with your problem, but it worked for me.

Best of luck to you. It sucks to vape with a sore throat.

I vape mostly by dripping atomizers and clearo type tanks. The atomizers (not RBA kind) have recently been washed thoroughly with a light dry burn so they are clean. The clearos are cleaned regularly as well and today I got a Protank 2 mini and some other various clearos to try out, so they are brand new. I usually don't clean it before first use, but it's never bothered me before. Argh!! I guess I should just lay off the vaping for a few days? I mean, I am not a heavy vaper by any means, maybe 1 to 2mls a day, but 2ml is like a lot for me. Even now, I am only vaping every now and then, a few puffs here and there but not chain vaping. Suuuucks... but oh well, I guess I should be glad I'm not super sick. I wonder if no nicotine would be less irritating?

I am just coming out of a prolonged illness (atypical, or 'walking' pneumonia), and for about a month my lungs absolutely could not tolerate even the tiniest inhale. However, knowing that the nicotine in vapor is absorbed through the mouth and nose, I kept on vaping, but stopped inhaling. Just held it in my mouth and enjoyed the flavor, then let it seep out of my mouth. My nic fits were non existent this way. So, perhaps give that technique a try.

.... but oh.. did it feel good to inhale again.
