I quit smoking using an e-cig a couple of years ago. I started the real ones again when my electronics all broke while I was out of town. That was before there were vape shops on every corner, and I had to wait ten days to get new ones. By then the damage was done.
I want to quit again, but now... I don't even know what world this is. I used to like Blue Mist's hypermint... big jug for 30 bucks. But I guess they're defunct. I still have a bunch of equipment for... it's the same battery that V2 uses (or used), but it's another popular brand. 808D or something?
Can anybody make suggestions on how to get back up and running without spending a fortune? Thanks.

Volt. That's the batteries and carts I have. They're terrible, and they rust if you look at them wrong, but that's what I have.

If you wanted to get some new start up hardware, I would suggest going to Discount Vapers. Get you a couple of spinner batteries and maybe some tanks. They have just about everything and some of the best prices around.

For liquid, you could go back to Azure since that's the new name of the company you like. There are so many places to buy liquid these days, everyone will have their own opinion on where you should start. You could go over to the e-liquid threads or the review sections to give you some ideas.

I am sure others can mention stuff, but since no one has answered you yet. Maybe something like this to get started. There are lots of vendors for one this is just an example and the charger is seperate and less than $4. Hope that helps. Btw a 808 to 510 adaptor is cheap and readily available. Hopefully,others chime in soon. Best of luck on quitting again.

There are several brands that use 808 D1 type batteries if that's the form factor you want to stick with. You can try Halo, which has some great menthol flavors. For longer battery life, and easier refilling, you may want to look into a set up that is around the size of a cigar like an ego starter kit. They use a tank system called clearomizers, which are super easy to refill, and you can replace the coils when they start to go for a little over a dollar depending on the model you get. I quit smoking with a $14.95, variable volt (adjust power to taste and what you are in the mood for) 650 mah (6 hours battery life), passthrough (vape while it's charging) ego that came with a changeable, bottom coil clearomizer called an Evod from ivape.net.

There are so many new things out there, it is easy to get lost. Here is a VERY decently priced starter kit, from a reputable vendor and a reputable Manufacturer. It even comes with replacement coils and an instruction book.

This is not 808, but 510/ego threaded, which will make it very easy to find compatible equipment.

You can actually get that same starter set about $10 cheaper from Vapor Foundry, but no ejuice included..
Only color they have left is blue, I ordered mine this morning at like 9am but for some reason it didnt ship yet so hopefully theyre actually still in stock (havent heard from em yet and its 7:20pm my time)..

Ive been doing ALOT of searching the past two weeks for these and this is the absolute cheapest Ive found the double starter kit that WASNT a cheap chinese knock off hehe.. I hope not anyways, the few comments I found on VF were pretty positive (and mentioned quick as hell shipping too???) My local B&M has em for $70, I had to do everything to keep from laughing at the guy on the phone after he gave me the price..

If you get the evod starter kit that people are recommending, you will be able to find the coils, replacement batteries and other tanks that fit the battery at every local vape shop!!!

It depends on the clearos you're using (and whether it's a disposable tank or a tank with a replaceable coil) but any decent vape shop will carry 510 threaded clearos and replacement coils for the 510 clearos that take those. Whether you can afford the prices that a brick and mortar shop will charge, that may be another matter (not their fault, they have overhead costs to cover). I rebuild my own coils for my tanks - that's cheaper than buying replacements online *or* in a shop. But yes, anything you get that's 510 threaded will have compatible replacements available at a brick and mortar. If you stick with cigarette sized, those usually have 808 threading, and replacements for 808 threaded stuff is more difficult to find at a brick and mortar.

If you mean the smokeless image volt, I have had nothing but good results from them. I still have them from 2 years ago and occasionally use them still. Only pitfall is the 808s. For whatever reason the industry caters to 510s.

You only have to spend a fortune if you want to. Vaping now can be at any price level.

Most vape shops will have the replacement coils for that Evod setup. It comes with 5 replacement coils, so that will give you a chance to also look around on the internet to see if you can get the same replacement coils for a lot cheaper. And you will!

Also, you will find that the "big cigar" type really isn't all that big...

Post us some links for things you are considering. That will make it a lot easier for us to answer questions like that.

Vape shops can be fickle things. You can find very good ones, you can also find very bad ones that will practically laugh you out the door if you dare ask for the likes of a ProTank coil. In general a vape shop will put a ridiculous mark-up on replacement coils for a BCC. You will be far better off if you do a little planning and buy what you can on-line, saving the vape shop runs for emergency filling in.

if you aren't set on a stick battery I have an MVP for daily use with a nautilus mini and it is very satisfying and long lasting as well. The nautilus mini is amazing!
