After 5 weeks of using cheep clearos and battling the air intake getting worse after a day. And not much flavor i finally did it. Spent my saturday going to 6 diff vape srores to find one that was nice enough to spend a couple hours with me. Showing me all the diff in rda's. Exsplaining air flow, two to five posts for building on, screws or allans for locking down coils, hitting a few mods with 1.8 ohms down to .16 ohms and how much air flow was needed for cooling, tasting lots of flavors on an RDA, and so on...

I learned a lot and got hands on experiances. Now i'm using a stingray mod with a big dripper RDTA in the big truck. As he said, dripping and driving is not cool. And when not in the truck I use a Mutation v2 RDA. I'm now blowing serious vaper and get all kinds of flavor.

I got to build six diff sets of coils in the shop of diff ohms levels and got to test them all. He told me where to buy all the tools needed for biuldong at a cheep price and how to use. I just bought four mods and four RDA's on the web just to have a few to play with on top of what i bought in the shop.

I cant say enough about this shop as they really put in the time to get me started and happy.
BTW, its Dragons Lair Vapors.

Now im a happy vapping kinda guy and will be reading more and more 9n the forum. I also enjoy the you tube vids of Rip Trippers. Funny guy and shows good close vids.

Thank you all for answering my newbee posts and getting started. Now to go to work and vape with a smile!

Jerry...

Good to know that there is a shop where they understand that taking a little time up front with a customer brings rewards later. I've read so many posts from members who found shops to be disinterested and uninformed--and that may be the norm for service industries, but vaping comes with personal responsibilities that are not always obvious to the novice--and no first visit and purchase will suffice the knowledge base of this forum. Welcome to our world, you are now one of us (One of us, one of us)! Study is required here to reach your desired satisfaction, and to appreciate many safety concerns of the device that you have purchased. Study will save you money and aggravation. It will also cost you money, as the science, research, and techniques change. New devices are released to the public daily, reviewed here, pros and cons debated. The personal aspect is to not smoke, and to enjoy the benefits--this is your community.

Sounds like ya got some serious vape on, and found a decent shop.

but just for giggles, and personal peace of mind, on your 0.16 ohm build, how many amps ya pulling??? And how big is the ohm drop once build is up to temp and vaping??? Which batts are you using??

Big D. is an elegant simple designed dripping tank, and performs quite well. Magma is me fave dripper, without a tank that is, but me top gun Queen of the hill, champ of the champ, is the Gus Estia 510. Native tri-coil, air & juice control, tanked rba.

Vape long and Prosper.!!!!

Congrats on sticking with it and not giving in to the cigs. Glad you had the forethought to find a B&M that would take the time to work with you. Now you are well on your way to establishing "The Mystical Vape Box!". :toast: In this box you will find a collection of vape gear that you know you bought and things will start to mysteriously appear :D... Don't fear it's all good!:2cool:

Vape on, don't worry, be happy!;)

You got some gooe questions i SHOULD know the answers to but not yet. Dont know how to find out 5he voltage drop but i bet with a bit of math i could figuge the amps on a full batt being 4.3v? As far as type of ba5t im using efest 18650 2500 mAh 35A. Help me out here but wouldnt amps in this situation be 26.875?

your pushing 26.5 amps if pushing 4.2 volts. Which is the number one should use for safety's sake. I use Ohms law calculator. Great online tool for helping to quickly crank the numbers, in any way you want.

well, without knowing the brand, you likely have a 20 amp continues batt with a 35 amp pulse rating, and are seriously stressing your batt, pushing it beyond continuous rating and approaching max pulse rating. If you experience a 0.04 ohm drop in your build, you are very close to venting your batt.

if you don't know what batt you have, you have no business vaping that low. seriously. Don't know of any 35 amp continuous batts in the 18650 form factor. You likely are using lg's, or a re-wrapped lg. likely, with the #'s you gave. Decent batt, but is only ratted 20 amp continuous. Just saying.

It is the purple efest. Says 35A right on it. But i will read the link you posted. If im pushing this batt then ill have to do something about it for sure. Dont want issues like that! The one im using in the truck right now is set a 0.25 ohms and with my math that puts me over 16A. I feel bettet about that. Ill have to do someth8ng with the addy at home for sure.

Thanks for the questions and making me fo the math.

Now to learn more on batt and what voltage drop does for me and how to figure it.

Rid th3 reading and will keep this in mind when i rebuild tonight. Thank you for saving my back side. And maybe evan front side. Ha. Untill i get better batt ill keep it above .2 ohms on my coils.

What is a good high rated batt to use? Where to find them? Anyone?

Ok. Did some more reading here and i guess batt are a tough subject. Seems the good ones are no longer sold. Oh well. Ill stick to the efest batts that i have. Will keep my builds at 0.20 and up. I do have to say the guy at the store did menchion a safe build was 0.20 and up but 8 had forgotten that part. I learned a lot that day and i guess some of it didnt stick. Although i dont think he said wh6 to stay aabove 0.20. Now i know.
