I found a threaded 1/2" conduit thingy at Lowes in the electrical section by the long conduit poles. With a bit of fanagling it fits on the body of the SP2 and the atty cap of the SP2 fits on the other end of the thingy.

This allows me to vape at 6.0 V using two of the rcr123a batteries for less than two bucks!.

The assembled unit is shown with a lens end to a mag flashlight I found that was gutted, but the cost of the new flashlight would prob. be more than anyone would want to pay. That is a standard AA battery next to it.

It vapes like a Steam Engine! Had to drop my mg/ml from 30 down to 24
to stand it. Could prob. go even lower.

Very cool.

However, I am a little confused. If the piece you found at Lowe's allows you to extend the SP2 for 2 3.0v batts, what is the deal with the flashlight housing?

I have a SP2 (don't like it, but regardless that's another story). I would like a use for it. I thought of buying a sleeve, and what you found interests me. Can you maybe be a little more descriptive, with a picture with just the SP ends, body and extension with atty connected and no flashlight housing? What size did you get? Guess I can go to Lowe's and just take mine with me and just size it up...

I use the flashlight housing because I had it for free. It is smaller and lighter. The thingy works just as well and is less than two bucks.

There are alot of little bins with different adapters in the electrical section by the long conduit poles at Lowes. This adapter is threaded the entire way through on the inside and was labeled on the box as 1/2 inch.

Looks to me that a male threded 1/2" piece of conduit pipe would screw into the thingy so it is prob. used for joining two pieces of pipe together.

More picts a bit later.

This is the final mod. The conduit hanger is used to join the sp2 body and the EMT set screw condiut coupler. Also makes a nice stand to sit it down horizontally.

The button end of the EMT had to be ground out with my dremmel so it would fit inside. The set screw holds the button in. A bit of doubled aluminum foil had to be wrapped around the SP2 body as it is a bit smaller than the EMT.

The batteries fit more snug in the EMT than in the threaded coupler shown in the previous mod.

You will need a spacer to go between the button and the neg terminal on the battery. I'm using two 3/8" hex nuts taped together with electrical tape to prevent shorting the unit.

This final mod stays together unlike the previous two which tended to fall apart if dropped-knocked over.

This is intended to be used at home while sitting and relaxing. I would not take this thing out and about and would not attempt to use it while driving. Kinda like you would use a pipe.
