:thumb:Got home last night and opened the package. It was well packed and my order was complete. The shipping time was only two days to Austin, TX. Great service.

The manual says to initially charge the batteries four hours no matter what the indicator light on the charger does. It also states this is very important to do for the first charge. After 1.5 hours it went green. Had my son pull the batteries off the charger at midnite and charge my 3rd battery which I removed at 4:30 AM when I got up.

First vaping impression, not as good as I hoped for. Drained and refilled one of the supplied carts with my own ejuice and it is now working better.

I use a 201 penstyle with auto batteries. For my initial comparison of these two devices the 201 is rated as 0 for Vapor, Taste, Throat Hit, battery life, draw, initial cost and cosmetic appearance. The scale I use is -5 through +5 where negative numbers = worse than the 201 and pos. numbers = better than 201. This is just my opinion.

The atty on the SP2 is not broken in yet and it should improve when it is. The exact same e-juice was used in side by side vaping. The 201 atty is well broken in using a freshly charged auto battery.

SP2
Vapor +2
Taste -1
Throat hit +2
Draw +1 (slightly easier draw)
Initial Cost -3 (paid $30.00 for my 201 kits. 2 batts, 1 atty, usb and wall charger carts, manual)
Appearance +2 (this SP2 looks cool)
Battery Life -- After 8 hours of on and off vaping the performance started to degrade. This is outstanding compared to the 201 which I would have had to swap batteries twice during this time frame. I rate this a +4.

Over All +7 each point over or under zero using my system is worth 20% making the SP2 140% better than a M201.

A bit of math shows that the value surpasses that of the 201 slightly.
Initial Cost of 201=$30.00 + 140%= $72.00 My SP2 cost me $70.00

So far the SP2 is meeting my expectations and I can only predict it will improve with a bit more use.

The cost of the SP2 is actually great when compared to other mods like the Silver Bullet, BB and other similar devices.

These are just my personal opinions.

Just curious who makes this, have any idea? Also, does it use protected batteries?

Not for sure but instead of two different tubes I would make a screw on adapter. I would laso charge .50 cents for it and ship it for free.

I don't think he's doing a screw-on type adapter/fitting to extend the 3.7v body, because it will be a different look all together.. could be wrong though. :)

im going to sell both kits, and both tubes seperately. so you can upgrade or downgrade basically. when they first arrive it will be only 6v kits and bodies, then i will add a kit with both tubes in it so you can use either or, and i will add the 3.7 tubes and bodies for sale too

Hello Shawn and everyone else. I've been busy hauling freight all over the nation, but since I finally have some "home" time, I thought it would be nice to jump in here again at long last.

Before starting with truck driving, I've extensively bench tested various attys at every voltage level between 3.7VDC to 6VDC. It is my preference to run my homebrewed mods right around the 4.8V to 5V region. It produces a good balance of vapor increase WITHOUT burning away the flavor with excessive atty coil heat. 6V mods also shorten atty lifespan considerably. Also, I'll vape a 3.7VDC device just as readily as my 4.8V NiMH AAA flashlight mods. The juice mixture and strength is the key to getting vaping satisfaction with the stock 3.7VDC devices. Also keeping the atty CLEAN is important. Anything from Coca Cola soaking to weekly Hydrogen Peroxide burns. It takes little time & effort to keep your attys performing at their peak. Be sure to rinse well with hot water after peroxide burns (yuk).

I just ordered a Sparkplug and hopefully I'll have it here in CT by Saturday, since I'm leaving out again on Sunday.

Notes to Shawn:
This mod design is very intuitive. Designed for maximum battery duration. NO LED and NO LOSSY WIRING. Clean, simple and highly efficient. I'm very impressed Shawn, good job. I also think you picked a very good version of the 801 style atty to use with it as well. Many 801's actually suck, but this version should be among the best of them. Too bad they are out of stock as spares. I'd love to adapt the Sparkplug for my VX2 attys, but I'll leave well enough alone since my free time is now very limited.

The DSE905V3 looks very nice as well. You've been very busy and it's great to see you exercising your creativity and technical intuitons. Best part is you are striving dilligently to keep your mods affordable, which is very admirable.

Keep up the good work and I look forward to receiving the Sparkplug!
