I've lurked ecf for 2 years but this thread single handedly made me join finally. I've been looking for a glass tank in the colors you offer. I've read most of the thread but I feel the ned to ask again: any plans for a carto tank and\or any of your tanks fit ibtanked end caps (19mm, 22mm, or 25mm)? I neeeeeed some of these for my cartos, it would complete the look I want on my mods! Absolutely beautiful tanks.

That's a great compliment:) Thank you very much WeakSauC3 and welcome to ECF!! I have tanks that fit the Zen CT hybrid and Siam caps. Unfortunately I don't have anything that would fit IBT caps right now, however I plan on doing Diablo tanks next. They're 22 x 2.5 and I believe that size will work with the 22mm caps from IBT.

Uno is on it! Dimensions are the same... Diablo will be 30mm in length so that should work for a standard carto tank.:D

Hate to say this but my 22mm IBT (standard length) measures 35mm with the caps in place so the caps add 3.4mm each to the tube length with the rubber seal. If you are starting out with a 30mm tube length you will be approximately 1.8mm too long

unless I'm missing something, it looks like Size #1 would work perfect. I've been searching like a nut for the past few hours for dimensions on all the RBAs your glass fits to see if something matched. I'm even willing to buy new caps somewhere if I can get them to match any of your tubes. pulled directly from houseofhybrids.com:

"Q~ What are the dimensions and tank sizes of the Zenesis?
A~ The Zenesis Standard - Diameter: .875", Height: 6.250" with a 5ml tank"

shouldn't 22mm caps fit that diameter?

The internal diameter and tube length will be the determining factors when trying to piece together a carto tank with existing end caps. I have Zen tubes at home and I am pretty sure (I will check after work) the IBT tube has a slightly thicker wall. Length also matters as the tube plus end caps need to be equal too or less than the carto length. Hope this helps :)

Spectrum, I gotta say this. You have absolutely no idea how happy I am with the DID glass. I have been using a polypro smoke colored tank on my Dids for months and months. While it works well and is durable, it is scratched up quite a bit, and honestly it was starting to look like iSh.

Your glass fits really well, I had to lube up the O rings to slide it over, but it was easy peasy... well kinda. I couldn't get the atty deck on the glass at first. Wouldn't even slide up to the O ring, let alone over it. I was about to be upset, but then I flipped the glass over, and it fit perfect on both ends. So mine has a definite top and bottom, lol... :)

Now, for the important question: What's your eta on the DID short? OR how can I cut one of these down a few mm?

Thanks again Spectrum and keep up the good work!

Other atty's I am hoping you will release glass for:

- GkmF20
- Did D16 (temon)

That's fantastic 9ball! Thank you! The colored glass really transforms the look of the DID doesn't it? That's the first DID pic and it looks great! :D

The Short DID glass has the same dimensions so they can easily be done. Please don't attempt to cut down a tank on your own my friend. You really need the proper equipment to safely get a clean cut. Even with the proper equipment and a clean cut the ends need to be touched-up with a wet belt sander before fire-polishing. If the Standard sales go OK I'll get a run of Shorts going.:)

My apologies, I haven't been on this thread in ages!

I lucked out with my last Orion V2.1 and the tank was perfect, the airhole lined up perfectly.
The one I had before that, with the original tank and a replacement tank from a third party, I did have to sand them down.

I can't remember the number of the sand paper I used, but I just put the paper flat on a sturdy table, and rubbed the tank in circles.
Back and forth, you may get one side uneven.

I sanded for a few, tested it. Sanded for a few, tested it.
It took a while, but worked fine once I got enough length off.
Safety glasses and gloves please. It is glass.

I still need to pick up a teal, just 'cause it's a cool color, and a pink. But I'm waiting on my Pchela to get here.
And that may take a while. LOL

I'll just say Iowa placed a substantial order....Should be good for a while:D

I can cross reference anyone that paid by invoice before. I think that should cover everyone that was waiting. If I miss anyone feel free to shoot me a PM. I want to give all of you a free tank, even if you only order one.

Chief, The Synth, QZI and f3cta dimensions are only available in quartz. Color tests have been done and they look exactly like the Pyrex. I'm just concerned about selling a thin walled quartz...Very fragile.

Did you manage to get a tank for the QZI to work? Even a clear "actual glass" tank would work for me. For a while anyway. LOL

Are the Diablo tanks different sizes for different versions?
I think mine is a 1.1, something like that, and it isn't the current version out.

Hey Unfettered...Welcome back! I haven't revisited the QZI tanks since the prototypes failed. In hindsight I should have tried some custom o-rings as the glass was close to fitting. Wanted to get the borrowed units returned to you guys and basically was in pass/fail mode.

I have no idea on the previous Diablo tank dimensions, however if you can measure your tank with calipers we'll know for sure.:)

My poor, poor Zen Standard.
It is just not destined to be without some small ding or another.
I've had it refinished because of hitting the concrete twice in one day.

Well... the poor thing has attempted body modification by concrete tile floor. Again.
While I believe it was unsuccessful this go round, my beloved purple spectrum tank has a chip out of the top.

The cheap-o plastic drip tip... history.
The Standard, appears in good shape.
The tank, alas, bears damage.

I will say, the way it hit the floor, I just knew the tank was shattered.
Nope. Just that one chip.

I'm impressed all over again.
Even though I have other colors, I will be getting a new purple in a couple of weeks.
