I sure hope that vaporizing is for me, because I am into this for a couple hundred dollars already. I received a small bottle of reg tobacco flavor with the starter kit Joye 510. I used it for a day, and had to plug/unplug small batteries WAY to much, like before one could fully charge, the other had blinked and died. I got online the same day and ordered the ego batt pt. It finally came in yesterday, and it is sooooo much better, should have went ego from the "get go", but I just didn't know.

Yesterday I was reading on this forum,(like I have everyday for a couple weeks now) and I saw several "what do I buy" questions answered with the link to Majicvapor.com and the statement that everything on that site is buy one get one free. I went on the site and saw an ego starter kit with 2 complete ego ecigs plus chargers for a bit over $40 and couldn't resist, because just for the batteries and atty's it was cheaper than what I had already spent on my small set. The site says they are genuine Joye brand as well, and doubled that would be 4 ego batteries and attys for $50 shipped, I couldn't pass it up.

My biggest problem is that the ejuice I got with the starter kit is meh, and the 60 ml I of coco tobacco I thought sounded pretty good, REEKS I have heard that sometimes steeping for a couple weeks makes it better, but it has my whole medicine cabinet smelled up with a perfume-y stench that makes me shudder, and I have nothing else to vape. :( So I have different juices ordered from 2 different vendors, just wish it didn't take so long to reach me. This waiting for 4 or 5 days seems torturous.

My husband is seeing me spending and spending, but not using any of it , and is becoming quite skeptical of the whole deal. I hope I have made the right decision to spend the money, it is just a bit more than I spend on cigs in a couple weeks, so if I don't buy smokes it is justifiable but if all the liquids seem as hideous to me, I just won't be able to switch..... so I am a little discouraged at the moment. Hope everyone else who is new and experimenting is having a better time of it than me, and I hope I can post soon with a glowing review of how I no longer smoke cigs, I vape. Not yet though.

I think you should continue spending! You're doing it because you're determined to vape instead of smoking, right?

Also. This is normal new vaper behavior for lots of us. A month ago I had to EGO batts & a few cartos. Now I have nine batteries, ca 25 cartos, a cpl of attys, smokymizers and whatnot + lots of other stuff.

Keep going. I promise you it'll be fun at some point - soon hopefully. Don't hesitate to ask here. People here are lovable AND helpful.

And about your husband... maybe ask him to have a little faith, be a little more supportive and make him read some of the great stuff here?

Sorry to hear about that. I took to it pretty quickly, but spent a crapton early on. Slowing down considerably now. Try a bunch of juices - your favorite flavors may not match up with what you think they are i.e. what kind of cigs you smoked or even what flavor food/drink you like.

My only advice would be to buy from respected and reputable vendors and ask questions here on the forum - people are amazingly helpful.

The bogo offer at majicvapor is for juice not kits for starters, I've been vaping for almost 4 weeks now, I was a menthol smoker so maybe it is easier to find good juice flavors than for tobacco only but...don't give up, read more reviews, watch video reviews, ask questions and stay motivated...ego is my equipment choice for now...good luck!

Thanks for the encouragement, and for sharing my wine, I mean whine. :) I was so hoping that I would be enjoying lovely, delicious, vaporized nicotine like I hear so many other posters rave about by now, I just need more patience, (I just had a guns N roses moment on that one) Seriously, I do REALLY want this change, it's coming up winter and I don't want to smoke in a closed up house, nor do I want to stand shivering in the cold to get my fix. I want freedom from pollution, and excessive government taxation, and I want it like yesterday....lol

Sorry to read you are having a tough time.....I do have to say that trying to find a decent tobacco flavor is next to impossible.....Besides, vaping is so much more than smoking cigs.....Try a couple of fruity or candy like flavors, or gum flavors, etc. Find something you can tolerate while you are looking for an all day vape.
Believe me, I have spent more on juices than on hardware. Look at some of the vendors that advertize here on ecf.....click on the supplier button on the menu at top of this page....a couple come to mind and they have sample packs too. Virgin Vapors, Freedomsmokeusa, vaporrenu. These vendors specialize in juices and really do a great job....
Good luck, I know it can be frustrating. Remember any cig not smoked is a victory,....

Perfumey juices are exactly the ones helped by steeping with the dropper tip and cap off. Overflavoring often causes that.

If you find a good vanilla that will also help fix almost any juice. My personal faves at Vapor4Life WOW Vanilla (sweet, almost like cotton candy vanilla, clear, thin, no sediment) and Gourmet Vapor vanillarum (vanilla w/ caramel and rum - sign up there to get their infrequent but huge sale notices). I tried a lot of vanillas to find ones as sediment-free as those two. Get a few small empty bottles for experimenting.

For Chinese juice - DK-TAB is a fairly plain mellow tobacco good for mixing. Some prefer the USA Mix or USA Mix Reds. You could cut your cocoa tobacco with one of those. The cocoa tobacco (hardly tobacco) I use is Vapor4Life WOWbacco. LiteCigUSA.net has a good stock of small and medium size bottles of Dekang juices at a good price. BTW - I found Dekang Vanilla to be weak and slightly fruity and nothing like vanilla. However it was not offensive in any way. And I like the sweet RY4.

hope it all works out for you! I think the initial output is always a lot but you have made some good purchases and gotten great deals! If i could give you any advice on buying liquids, it would be to look at how others rate them first of all and see which ones are pretty popular. Also, I would get different type flavors (like get a tobacco one, and a minty one and a fruity one and a desserty one, and a cinnamoney one) and you may find some surprises in what you thought you would like and what you actually do like. I would also get different nicotine levels and different PG/VG levels. I know i started off with a lot of fruity flavors which havent ended up being my faves, i got a bunch of 18 mg of nic, which is way too high for me now, and I got high PG mixes, which i cannot tolerate much anymore either! So get small bottles of a variety of juices and go from there!

Hi Chessiesmile and congrats on your purchases. We all went through exactly what you are feeling. You've got a great PV and lots of accessories and now the search for juices begins. I really like the DK Tab and the RY4 and as dormouse has suggested experiment and mix some flavors using your atomizer to test them rather than possibly contaminating a cartridge/ cartomizer. I'm 5 1/2 weeks in and have spent over $500 but have enough supplies to last me for approx. 1 1/2 yrs. When I first came to ECF I was told be the Vets most new vapers enjoyed a touch of menthol in their juice. Of course I HATE menthol but, as usual, they were right and I now enjoy menthol in my Tobacco juices. You can buy either menthol drops or menthol crystals and add small quantities to your juice.
I hope I have made the right decision to spend the money, it is just a bit more than I spend on cigs in a couple weeks...
No guarantees but I'm sure once you get up and running you will know you made the right choice. Later, to keep costs down, you may want to peruse the Classifieds
http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/classifieds-swaps/
I also find it helpful to be included in Vendors/ websites newsletters. This way you get a heads up on sales. They will not spam you with useless garbage.
Eventually you may also want to DIY. It really isn't that difficult and the savings are enormous but that's later.
The Best of Luck to You and know that we are all behind you 110%, Vapoor

I dont know what prices look like in AR, but here in tobacco country packs run just under $5 for name brands. I'm sure you dont need me to do the arithmatic, but a $5/day (I was closer to $10/day) habit gets expensive quick.
When I first got into vaping, I was an order-aholic - I still get ribbed for my tackle box full of e-cig gear. I was so happy to be off of analogs, I spent over $400 in the first 8 weeks I was vaping, trying different juice/samplers, cartos, tanks, attys, batts etc. (Now its <$50/month in juice/supplies - some months, nothing) At the rate I had been torching analogs, I paid for my full investment within 6 weeks. I even turned some of my extra cartos/batts into "kits" for my family and friends who wanted to try e-cigs. Having spares never hurts either.

Re: juice flavors, when I started out, I naturally thought I would like the tobacco flavors, but I found out that couldnt be further from the truth. Desert/fruit flavors have been my consistant favorite, with Madvapes' TopBanana being my 'daily driver.'
Good luck, its a great hobby with a great community here at ECF!

In the pay it forward area (my sig has a link to it), there is a deals and steals thread where members post current sales.
Flavors depend on what you like. I kept it simple early, was a plain tobacco smoker so used vapor4life kamel as my main vape.
Backwoods brew is a good smaller eliquid vendor, as is kickbass vapor - they both have forums in the suppliers area of ecf. There are many other eliquid specialty shops.

Yeah, initial output is normally high and finding juices you can tolerate and/or even LOVE can be rather taxing on the wallet. I buy a lot of my juice from VaporBomb.com I have a lot of personal favorites, but you can't go to wrong with their Hypnotic Mist.

I think this was mentioned before, but I will say it again as it is good advice. When scoping out vendors and juices, it is better to buy many small bottles of different prospective flavors. This way you can get more of a variety with less money.

Hang in there, finding juices you like is tough if you don't have a store nearby where you can go sample things. Stores though, are rather rare, because it's about impossible to compete with the ultra low overhead that most e-businesses enjoy. So it makes it a give and take... And in the beginning that usually means you 'give' and they 'take' money.

When I got my first (sorry excuse for a) PV, all I had was tobacco flavor. It was a Smoke Fifty-One, and it tasted like, well, I can't adequately describe that with words I can use here. My wife and I bought them with extra cartridges, and walked out of the mall leaving behind about $190.

We kept them for a bit over 24 hours. Was it worth it? Well, we didn't touch an analog in those 24 hours, and that was our beginning. So I say, Hell yes it was worth it.

From then on, it's gone ballistic. Replaced those mall e-cigs with a couple of eGo-T kits ( on day two, mind you ). Bought a ton of juice that day, dropped around $250 in total.

By the end of month two, we were sure vaping was going to be our thing, so we upgraded our equipment and bought a pair of ProVari's. Total shipped price was a bit over $520.

This doesn't take into account all the carto's, and juice... OMG the juice.... LOL

So what's the point in all this? Nothing. Unless you show it to your hubby. By comparison, it will make you seem frugal, adn he will be overjoyed! ;)

I can't not add something actually useful for you here, so here goes. In the beginning, we had tobac flavors. That was all we wanted. After all, we were replacing cigarettes, right? Well, the tobacco flavors got us off the cigs, but they didn't hold their charm for very long at all. What has kept us off has been desert and fruit flavors. And nobody is more surprised by that than us.

Save yourself some money - buy samplers, and don't be afraid to try some varied flavors. Remember - the more you like it, the more likely you are to want to vape it. And if you're vaping, you're not smoking.

Either sample packs, or take a vacation to Panama City Beach, FL. I'll gladly show you where the vape store is. LOL (Ok, so samplers are probably cheaper...)
