I own the Spinner kit that MVS sells and it's great. I'm a heavy vapor guy and the 1300mah battery lasts a long time. The fact that you get 2 1300mah batteries and 2 EVOD's keeps me vaping a long time before they need a recharge. I use a different wall adaptor then the one included in the kit because that one takes about 7 hours to charge a battery. The other one I use only takes about 4.5 hours, which isn't too bad. It's also easy to see and set your voltage with the Spinner. This seems to be a bit of a problem for twist owners. Good luck in your choice.

I have two of each. Two 1,000 mah spinners and two 1,300 mah spinners. So far, I like them equally. The spinner is easier to see for adjustments, but the twist is a bit thinner and more comfortable in the hand. Basically, it's a tie.

I don't mind the spinners being a little thicker. Actually length is more of an issue for me, so I appreciate that spinners are shorter than twists. That and the fact that you can actually read the settings on the spinners makes them much better than twists for me.

..not to mention also that the thicker body on the 1300 Spinner makes it more stable if you stand it on end...takes a stronger gust of wind to knock it down :)

Spinners are the king of disposable stick batteries....Joyetech Twists were the first to market variable voltage disposable batteries so props to them.

Spinner improved on a few things:

1) More Mah= higher capacity for battery life in between charging
2) THICKER= more comfortable to hold
3) MARKINGS= easier to see voltage markings on the spin dial at the bottom

You cannot go wrong with either. I have two of each, 1100mah Twist and 1300mah Spinner. I do not notice much of a difference in usage time. They both come in a variety of colors. Both charge on a standard 510 connection and both have 510 / eGo connections up top. As mentioned earlier, the Twist is a little thinner. You said you are not ready for a mod but a Vamo can be had for similar money and is really easy to use. Just a thought.

I am thinking of purchasing either the Twist or the Spinner. I want a higher mAh battery and the ability to change voltage. I don't think I am quite ready for a mod. LOL

Does anyone recommend one over the other? And why?

Thanks.
Doug

Spend 20 more dollars and get a vamo

There's a supplier in the forum, that has the Joyetech eVic for $69.
Too techie for me. But still an awesome deal. I just want something cheap to try out VV. I'll buy something better if I like it.
It's not the same kind of leap, as moving up from Blu to an eGo and refilling. I still think the combo kit, where you get both brand models.
Is the best deal, and put together by a forward thinking vendor.

Hey Doug, RedhatPat here speaking to you from amish country. Answer: BOTH! Just kidding, get the Spinner brother!! Doesn't matter why. If you find someone is right, good chance they'll be right later on. Find a good mentor. Start with Baditude's blog here - E-Cigarette Forum - Baditude - Blogs

Spend 80 more dollars and get a provari.

Apples 'n oranges because the OP was asking about two kinds of ego style, if he ever wants or needs to get a heavier tube style in his hands then that's when he should skip the vamos and what-not. Because if he likes the thicker tubes more than egos than he'll end up with a provari anyways. Why, uh because they're awesome for what they do. Even though the provape warrenty isn't transferable, you can get used provaris new 'n old alike with confidence from the classys here for way less than blems. They remind me of bmw's, they have high resale values in the newspaper even when they're decades old or have super high mileage 'cuz they're built so well. Who knows where the OP's journey through vapeville will lead him. Ya might find him taking selfys from a .1 ohm quad-coil mechanical pipebomp lookin .... one day!

It's a tie in my world. Spinner lasts longer on a charge, Twist has a longer cutoff, which I often need as my Nova heads age. It's irritating to see the button flashing at the end of a long pull. But I dropped the Twist and its button is wonked, so that is also irritating.

I put dots of different-colored CHEAP ($1) nail polish on the Twist dial so I don't need glasses to adjust the voltage. If it hadn't broken, I think I'd still like it because of the cutoff.

I really wish I could get the mah on something with replaceable batteries in a Spinner size. At home I just use a LavaTube, and if it ever dies I'll upgrade to something with a better quality -- the finish is rubbing off of my LavaTube and I had to re-glue the end cap cover, I almost lost it, and it is needed in order to unscrew the cap to replaced the battery. But really the ONLY thing I like about the LavaTube is I can replace the battery without having to change heads, and I can carry spares easily.

However, I'm on a business trip in Europe and I made the mistake of getting a charger for my 18650s that doesn't work in 220v, so I'm using the Spinner this week and I'm liking it a lot. (kgos and the broken ego for backup)
