The spinners and their cousins are advertised to have a 10 second shutoff (I think) to prevent one from accidentally staying on in your pocket, purse, etc. but in practice (I *just* tested one of mine) it's shorter than that. I think I timed mine to right at about 7-8 seconds. Make sure it's fully charged and if your device tank, etc. isn't firing at all then it's something different going on...

Hmm. . .I use Novas as well. They usually have 3 atty heads, 1.8, 2.4, and 2.8. From my own experience, 1.8ohm heads work better with stick batteries (eGo/Vision). 2.4 work well with variable voltage like the Spinners or AVP's. 2.8's are for advanced vaping. . .the T3 sounds like a Kanger, but I could be wrong in that assumption. The atty should have the resistance on the heads themselves.

I had the same issue using a Nova with a 2.4ohm atty on the spinner type battery on the same voltage you were using. Then I switched tanks (same tank, Nova) but had a 1.8 atty. Started vaping clouds like crazy. Try running the battery down to charge up again and seeing if letting the battery sit being the issue as well.

I ALWAYS check my heads, cartos, etc for accuracy and to make sure there' no shorts. PVs have short circuit protection but can't be relied upon. As for testing ohms- 1.7 ohms carto tested out to 2.2 ohms and a 1.8 ohms Vivi head tested out to 2.2 ohms. Not a big deal unless the inaccuracy % had been in the other direction.

Yep, sounds like the safety shutoff. Like Vapoor Eyes, I just sort of double tap the button half way through. Supposed to be 10 seconds, I have 3 (2 1300s and a 900) and they're all different time-outs. Slight variations in the components of the timing circuit, and at that price for a decent VV battery, I wouldn't expect them to calibrate each one!

So we're generally talking about a 15-20% variation on some of these devices? And you find that an acceptable level of QC?

Imagine if every transistor radio you bought tuned in 90.0 fm when the dial said "105.5 fm". I mean REALLY? If the Japanese can get accurte calibration and decent QC with $20 radios, why can't the Chinese do it with mods?

Oh, yeah, that's right. The Chinese corporate business model, and the government operating principle over there is fraud, counterfeiting to cut costs, and cutting corners at every step of the manufcturing process...

Most radios these days use digital tuning circuits, not analog R/C tuning tanks, so there's essentially no error.

I imagine the low end batteries use an R/C timing circuit, and the standard "consumer" resistor is 10% tolerance, so the timing goes amok. Likewise, there is a tolerance on on the capacitor as well. Combine the two, if they happen to be off in the "right" directions, and you can be 20% off. Yes, you can get both in a 1% tolerance, but if you're building cheap, you buy cheap parts.

At the same time, I have a nearly antique Sansui tuner, analog, and the dial isn't accurate, just close. Of course, there are also bands that move the old needle... Again, if it were a digital device, it wouldn't have that issue.

Cool thanks for info. I did not even know there was a cut off! Learning more and more!
So far I think it may just do the trick to get me off analogs (3 today!)...I hope. Got a variety pack of flavs from Mt B. So far only one I really like (enough to use it) wintergreen. I did not smoke menthols but I like it. Some of the flavs I pretty much hated but I will let em sit around a while and try again down the road.

Just got started vaping with some vision spinner 1300's.
When pulling a long draw the light will flash and then go out. 5-6 seconds in I would say.
This normal? Battery was charged fully but has sat for a day or two waiting on my juice order.
Is it just protecting its self or is something wonky? Happens on both my spinners.

I'm using a Vision Spinner 650 and after pulling for 8 seconds vapor production stops and I receive 5 flashes. Is this the same amount of flashes that you're receiving? How many flashes does the vision spinner give to warn of low battery?
