I took a trip last Friday for 4 days down to Daytona Beach, catching the last few days of biker week. I'm not a biker, it was actually a casual business trip to meet some new clients. Just a few fun observations and tales... (its a bit long)

* No issues getting through airport security with a Provari, DCT 6ml tank attached, 2 batteries, and six 30 ml individual eliquid bottles in my back pack.
* I vaped in the airport discretely as I waited for my flight. Off to the side away from people. Though I got a few curious looks. I did wasn't trying to draw attention nor was I blowing huge plums of vapor.

* Sat next to a flight attendant (Delta) on the way down and chatted her up about PV use/policy. Delta does have a policy (which I knew) against them...and most (if not all) attendants know what ecigs and PVs are. She told me that as long as you are being discreet and stealthy (meaning they don't see you do it) they really could care less. She said most of the issues are when someone is using one that has very strong smelling juice or these see someone blowing plumes...and that will raise eyes and they'll be on the lookout for who's using it and politely cite policy to stop. I even demonstrated how I would take a stealthy hit (I had RAWR's Hawaiin Sunrise - it smells very pleasant, so she said). She made me laugh by saying she'd rather smell my sweet vapor than some of the rank passengers she sometimes comes across. She's been a flight attendant for 24 years.

* I was stopped 3 times at the baggage claim and spent 10 mins each time explaining what my "device" was to people who either smoked or knew someone who did. I explained there are cheaper, easier ones...and cited to use this forum for more information. I went through my personal story on how I quit after 30 years of smoking 1.5 packs a day.

* For my good karma above - the Gods rewarded me with a kick azz rental car upgrade...a silver Camaro SS! Spent another 10 mins talking with the Hertz lady about my PV...and again information websites for her to check out.

* Had a great $58 steak at an upscale restaurant Friday night...and inquired with the manager if I could vape if I kept it low key after dinner. Spent another 10 mins explaining all about my PV, etc etc to him and gave him a card I had for Provari's website. I was allowed to vape, and towards the end of dinner he brought his ipad out to inquire what he should be ordering from Provape. Ahhh Jim Jones gotcha to drink the KoolAid. lol

* Later Friday night headed down to check out the madness that is Dayton Bike week. I don't really remember much. The bar on the corner had pretty bartendresses and I seemed to be drinking alot. Although I remember taking 20 mins to explain my PV to one of the cuter bartender girls :). I also met a eVic user and two Blu cig users.

* Saturday was spent out at something called "Cabbage Slaw Wrestling" just outside the city. Think 1000 people, drinking, tshirts, wetness, cabbage in a pit, and women...all sponsored by Budweiser. Was interesting to say the least. Spent another hour with a group of bikers who had questions about my PV. Spent another 3 hours drinking beer with said bikers. Good times!

* Saturday night was a repeat of Later Friday night above. :) I was asked at least 8 times what I was "smoking"...and each time went through my story and what I was holding. I was usually rewarded with a "That's awesome!" and "Let me buy you a shot!". I accepted way too many times.

* Sunday I was glad I didn't have to get up to go out and smoke. I was staying on our company owners boat...and in no shape to want to walk. Ahhh its great to hangover vape without getting up...saved me a worse headache than I had.

* Sunday afternoon we took the inner-coastal up to St Augustine. Our owner would never let me "smoke" on his boat...but had no issues with me vaping. Yay again!

* Sunday evening spent at the A1 Ale House sampling great microbrews at the bar while, with permission, discreetly vaping. Crisp ale and strawberry cantaloupe juice made a nice pairing... Go figure.

* Headed home Monday afternoon. No issues getting back through security in Jacksonville. No issues discreetly vaping off to the side at the gate. Was upgraded to economy comfort seat with my friend and again stealthy vaped when I needed.

* Shuttle bus back to my car sat next to a cardiologist and his wife and spent another 10 mins going through my story, how I quit, what my PV was, recommending him checking out this site, and giving him my business card if I could be of further assistance. He was fascinated having heard about ecigs but never seeing one or knowing they came "that big". :)

All in all a pretty cool 4 days of spreading the gospel of vaping and generally having a good time. I hope I've converted everyone I spoke with!!!

halfway through the first stack of ECF cards. i leave them everywhere. if there is a bulletin board around my area, they get a healthy dose of cards. easiest way to do it. spares you having to give the speech.
