Spring question

I noticed that the spring is now part of the circuit path in the Precise and P+ models. I was wondering if having the spring plated in copper, gold, or rhodium would make a noticeable improvement in performance? Altsmoke sells a low resistance "Hotspring" upgrade for the Silver Bullet, which appears to be copper or brass plated. reviews from the site mentioned a noticeable difference, especially at 3.7V. I was considering buying an extra spring for my P+ and having it plated. Waste of money?

I was thinking the same thing..... Gold plating would most likely hold up pretty well inside the device and doesn't need to be rhodium. Not sure how that would effect the spring rate though.

I don't see why you couldn't plate a spring and i've thought of sending a few in with my next batch of posts. I'm not sure on the platings longevity due to movement of the spring, but i'd be curious to find out.
