My aga-t2 is being real fussy with a top coil hot spot. Im using 440 ss mesh and 30 awg kanthal with 5-6 wraps on a smok mech. Someone suggested I find a spring and washers to shorten the top lead wire. I can't find a small enough spring or washers to accomodate this. Anyone know of where to find them or if this is a good solution? And should I roll wick in the mesh to help with the wicking process? T.I.A.

Hey Rubble,

So I went to Lowes home improvement and in the screw/hardware aisle you will see many different options hanging on the walls. I went with AGA-T2 in hand and found the Brass screws and washer needed to make it a better design. I don't have on me but beleave it was the #4 brass washers, they come in a 10 pack for a couple bucks and work great. I ended up sanding one side of washer down so it was not coming into contact with my mesh/braided wicks and works like a charm. Then I decided to get brass screws to replace the negative screw but I can't remember the pitch or size but that is not really needed. As far as the spring I tried two diff. options, one was striping a pen and cutting the spring inside it to provide the right amount of force and removed one nut to allow it to fit with the washer....When I went to Lowes I then found brass springs and just made that work to keep it all brass. Hoosiervapes is where I found the AGA parts kit and the replacement screws at a good price and excellent service-I pulled the post out for u-wicks and bought the parts kit for extra seals, YOu can tap the solid hole you pull the post out of and it will allow you to screw in their when not using the u-wick to prevent leaks....Also the positive insulator that comes with the parts kit can be trimmed to put in the fill hole so you can still add juice but prevent leaking as a small hole will not really allow it to leak. Hope this helps, Strapped

Yea big help. I tried home depot with no luck. I also tried cutting a pen spring down to size but couldn't get the washers to sit straight on a cut spring. I think there's a rba replacement kit for a rat? Not sure if I'm right but I swear that's what was suggested and I googled it and you don't wanna know what came up. But thanks for the response.
