Ssocc coil problem?

I have a .5 nichrome in a subtank mini that won't fire on my kbox 60w platinum.it just blinks when i hit the button. However when I put the same tank on my subvod battery which I believe also has short circuit protection, it fires the coil. I don't get it

Does the kbox read the resistance of the coil?

Check to see if there is liquid in the 510 connection on the mod. Maybe the pin is too short on the tank as well

if its like the old kbox,it thinks its lower than .5.you can check my theory ,if you have a higher ohm coil for it.

That is a high likelyhood. But most of those coils come in at .6 ohm or so. Not too accurate. One could be lower than .5

One thing about Kanger coils: Of the dozens upon dozens of xOCC coils I've paraded through my army of Kanger tanks, exactly one has read at the labeled resistance. It's not a matter of a few hundredths of an Ohm, either. I had at least two labeled 0.5 that were off by 0.2 Ohms.

I love their tanks and have since the days of the Protank and the Evod. They always perform well and deliver a very satisfying vape. But Kanger can't build an accurately labeled coil for snitz.
