Your VAMO is supposed to shut off when your stacked batteries get to 6.3v. That prevents you from over discharging the batteries which is a bad, bad thing.

Stacked batteries should always be permanently paired from the time of purchase for both using and charging. Mark them as pairs and never use them singly. Alternate the upper and lower positions of your stacked batteries with each use. Periodically check the voltage of your batteries to make sure they are the same. If one of the batteries starts taking markedly longer in the charger to charge fully quit using that battery and only use the remaining battery as a single.

Unless you need the higher power from the stacked batteries it might be a good idea to stick with single IMR or Panasonic hybrid 18650s. It's much less hassle.

sorry i am a noob using stacked battery's i just needed to recharge them thanks to every one that help me out

If you don't mind me asking, why are you stacking? It's probably not something one should be doing as a "noob".

There is really no need to be running stacked unless you are really pushing the limits on a DC carto or Vaping over 11-12 watts.

I tried stacking 2 the other day. The display got so bright it scared me and I quickly took them out. I can't risk frying my Vamo right now. I just bit the bullet and ordered me a couple more 18650....call me a chicken I guess LOL!

I'm a Big Believer of Doing what Makes you Comfortable.

I'm not a Huge Fan of Stacked Batteries. And Batteries are Cheap. It also is Good to have some Extras laying around.

So I just run a Single Battery and when it gets Low, I plug in an Extra.

What batteries are the best for this Vamo? I want to use both sizes.

AW IMR 18350 button tops will work in shorty mode and in some VAMOs in stacked mode, AW IMR 18350 3.7V 700mAh. Some people have reported that they can't get their battery cap on all the way using stacked button tops.

For the 18650s it seems that most people prefer the hybrid Panasonic CGR18650CHs. You have to wait for shipping from Hong Kong but Fast Tech has them for an excellent price, Panasonic CGR18650CH Rechargeable 2250mAh 3.7V 18650 Lithium Batteries. Amazon has good deals on them from time to time if you want U.S. shipping.

If you want flat tops for stacking use Efest IMR 18350s. Vapor Beast is fussy about what they carry and they always seem to have EFEST 18350 Batteries in stock for a reasonable price. You might find a little bit better price but do be picky about the vendor. It seems there are quite a few counterfeits floating around.

Neither of those batteries are the correct type to use in your VAMO. It requires batteries that discharge enough power for the boost circuitry. I've not seen any 18350s at Fast Tech that would work correctly in the VAMO. Stick with AWs or Efests from a reliable seller. Also, I've seen numerous posts on ECF cautioning people to avoid any charger or battery with "fire" in the name for any vaping purpose.

See how confused I am? The Vamo came with 2 18350's, of course I tried it both ways, never thought there was any harm in using both of them. I find it works well enough on one battery and have the other fully charged for backup while the other is on the charger. What situation would warrant stacking?

You really only need to stack if your preferred vape requires the upper levels of power that the VAMO can provide. Most people don't need that much power.
