Stacked batteries.

I have run stacked in my Vamo. I would use a quality battery and keep in a pair from new and rotate top to bottom after every charge. On my Vamo the end cap wont screw on all the way using button top 18350's, was wondering if anyone else had that problem.

I have the same problem end cap will not tighten up 2x18350 button tops

^^^ I've yet to be able to figure out why some people have issues with getting the battery cap on fully when stacking button tops. Someone measured some AW button tops and Efest flat tops. There was only 1 mm difference in length. Either the VAMO tube sizes aren't the same on every run or the batteries from different runs must be different sizes.

I have 3 pairs of Efest 18350s I got from vapor beast. They all allow the battery cap to be screwed on all the way.

Here is the reason why we cant get the end cap screwed in all the way

the 18650 no problem, but with the 18350 being longer the cap dont screw on all the way

Mine is an early version, the cap goes all the way on. Does the inside of your cap look different from this?

Mine is the same V1, same spring. Cap goes on with stacked 18350's screws on but not all the way. Haven't tried stacking in my V2 with gold spring though.

I find my 650 uses less space than two 350's. Mine are all flat tops. I doubt I could use button tops in my V2 or at least struggle to pack them in.

I leave the body extender unscrewed a tad to accept the 18350's..I have a paracord wrap so you don't even see it..

So space is at a premium? You on buttons?

Just posted this in another thread, but in the user manual (the one in the box), it said you can stack 18650s as well, anyone tried it yet?

I have the current version Vamo and the end caps screw on all the way with stacked batteries. I have Efest 18350s and 18650s, all button tops, and no problems.

Sorry for the nobby question, but can you stack the 2 x 350s while putting to charge? Or do you have to charge 'em seperately?

Was thinkin of charging stacked 350 in one bay, and 650 in the other.

When you stack 2 18350 batteries 4.2 volt each, you are making a single 8.4 volt battery. The charger is designed to charge at 4.2 volts, so aside from safety issues, it wouldn't anyway.

I will only ever run stacked batteries in mine. Good charger and batteries make all the difference.

I go shorty every now and then, but not often. And it is an easy switch for me - the battery case I have is an old pool test strip container, so it will hold the battery and extension sleeve. The lid was loose enough for safety but I vented it anyway..
