Though I enjoy dripping with 901 attys, I've put off buying a drip-tip until now. The reason: Price.
I know that $8-$12 isn't all that much in the grand scheme of things, but paying that much for a dime's worth of plastic or metal is just off-putting to me. After all, they're just metal tubes. I pay less than that for atomizers, and those metal tubes have actual parts in them.
Luckily there's finally a DT that is reasonably priced. Good Prophets sells metal DTs in two styles for less than $4 a piece. I bought one of each to see which style I liked better - I'll give the other to a buddy of mine that just started vaping.
It's hard to do a proper review of such a simple thing as a DT. Like I said, it's really just a metal tube. But as simple as they are, these work just fine. The inner diameter is tapered, so that the opening at the bottom is smaller than the opening at the top. This is good, as it ensures that the liquid drips directly onto the bridge. It also means that there is a decent amount of metal in these, so they are good and weighty. They have o-rings to keep them secured in place, which work exactly as intended. They seem to be a bit tight on a 510 atty, but I'm sure they'll break in.
I prefer the look of the tapered model, but the straight version "feels" better, so that will be the one I keep. Below you can see the tapered version on a black 901 atty and the straight version on a stainless steel 510 atty, as well as the smaller opening in the bottom of the tapered one.
