Whats your guess on your average lifespan using the AFS Vapn? You are using the beta AFS, right?

I use both the Beta and V1 AFS and my usual lifespan of an iatty is around a week, week and half. They don't blow but start to clog up on me. I get a hard draw and put a new one in. I have had some success with cleaning them with some .... cleaner and hot water.

Some of them have trailed off and started producing little vapor before but not too often. Over all I would say that this round of iAtties has been a very big increase in performance and life over the last batch of TW AFS atties.

Great news. Last night I was able to revive 5 of 7 of my 801 clogged attys by cleaning them with grain alcohol and my ultrasonic at 10 minutes and heat (I use the large $65 model at Harbor Freight, the small one is worthless).

The two that didn't revive measured out at 26 ohms and 250 ohms. The 26 ohm still produced a bit of vapor so I will clean that one again the next time. The 5 good ones where at exactly 3.3 ohms.

The only issue is that the first few hits are harsh until the alcohol residue burns off.

I had a DOA 901 that I pulled apart using the Scottbee method. The problem with the 901 is that is it a 2-piece design. Or, at least it pulled apart in 2 pieces - the screen and the base. The wires pulled off the solder joints on the base. Is the 801 a similar design?

Vapnaway - would you translate the lifespan (until clogging) into the average ml used?

Yes. The V2 is my only dripping device. I have tons of carto supplies for when I'm mobile, but prefer dripping at work.

I have about 5 attys that are not completely dead. I believe they are just gummed up after 15ml or so worth of dripping and I will attempt to clean and put back in service. I figure that Grain Alcohol and my ultrasonic machine may do the trick. I haven't had a chance to measure them all, but I think a couple meter out at close to zero ohms.

I have 5 or so that are blown open. I'm going to cut one of them down to figure out where they blew.

Has anyone been able to separate the atty from the tube without destroying the atty? If so, how?

For everyone that has "clogged" or non-working attys, that are NOT electrically DEAD, you should read the ENTIRE thread, long but MAY save you MONEY:

I have spent over $300 in 2 months on different attys trying to find one that will last more than a few days. Some last less than 30 minutes. I drip all day long at work with a 5-6V Prodigy V2 and the most I have ever gotten out of one is about 18ml. I have just gone through 2 in the last hour = $16.

I am so frustrated, I buy more attys than juice. I guess I will have to go back to Cartos and forget about dripping if I can't get an atty that lasts.

Question number 1: Will the 6V iatty last longer?
Question number 2: If so, when will these be in stock at VK?
Sounds like you vape as much as I do.lol With HV attys on the prodigy will last any where from 4 to 6 days really.I seem to have the same problem.

Anyone tried cleaning their atty using handheld steamer? I manage to bring regular atties back to perform well using this sort of method.

As for hefty price to pay for regular atties, why not getting them from one of China supplier that gives 6 month warranty for atties? (i won't mention the name of the supplier as i feel it's a bit unethical, feel free to browse around or message me if you want to know more about this supplier). My regular atty with GGTS has been producing thick clouds for about 2 weeks now.

sob, I got a bunch from a different supplier (same warranty though, and also very nice and helpful) and three ended up dying in less than a day of use. 901's with the washer. At least they are replacing them, but ugh I am fed up with attys!

There's a brand of mouthwash in North America (not sure if it is available elsewhere) called Crest Pro Health that, for some reason, cleans attys extremely well! But I have heard others have good luck with gentle steaming, like from a kettle.

I'll look for one...the 'washer' is a metal ring around the mesh bridge, so just the top of the bridge sticks out.

ETA: it's not really a washer...more like a metal plate surrounding the bridge.

Ah, ok then dont bother waywar my friend, my thought is different. I am talking for a real washer:)
