ok...updating this post after "living" with LR901's for a bit. I'm really liking them with a fresh 18650 battery and freshly cleaned and refilled AFSv2
tank in the morning. I can then go on about my business for most of the day..at least until about 3-5pm. At that point the vapor starts to taper off and the
tank is getting really low. But here's what happens...normally I would just top of the tank and be good to go till the next morning, but instead I top off tank and then it starts spittin' and flooding and vapor production drops off. It seems like the battery is not firing hot enough, in fact when I stop everything and put it on the meter it's down to about 3.70v or so...so it's sucking my battery down too fast and thus causing the flooding due to not burning the
juice sufficiently. My confusion is wondering is this just the normal battery burn for LR atty's or are my batteries just getting weak(about 8months old now)??
I'm also still having the problem with getting the bloody atty's to die a decent quick death so that I can move on to the next atty. So far I'm on my 4th atty since I got my original shipment. Atty #3 is still alive, but I just can't be bothered to fuss with it anymore. I'm not sure the lifespan is that much greater than standard 901's, but I do agree the vapor production is vastly better, which warrants their use considering it's about the same as standard, but feels like HV.
I'm also about to order the AVS finally for my GGTS...I was in hopes of snagging one of the new 510 AVS adapters..but I guess I wasn't quick enough or there just was a piddly amount of stock...dunno. I do know though that I have a ton of 510 attys collecting dust and at least I could burn up some of that stock with the new setup.
In the meantime...I guess I'll be ordering some new 18650's and also some more LR901's till I can get my hands on the 510 AVS adapter...LOL! Any thoughts on this would be appreciated.
