Hey guys,

So I'm starting to stock up on things to prepare myself for the Billet Box that I'll hopefully one day get.

Anyway, I'm not a carto user at all. I use a reo mini with an a7 mini rba, or I direct drop on the provari with various rba's or a hh.357.

I love the Billet Box enough to give carto's a try, though I don't want to (nor could I tolerate) swapping them out every 2-3 days.

I don't vape particularly hot, more in the 7-8w range and I use clear juices that are pretty thin too. I DIY everything at either 60/40 for atomizers, or 80/20 for clearomizers.

Can anyone recommend a standard resistance, standard length cartomizer that SHOULD (I know plenty of factors are involved) last me about a week or more? The longer the better of course.

I'm not a chain vaper either, I vape like I would smoke a cigarette. 10-15 drags every hour/1.5hrs or so, each for about 3-4 seconds.

That's also the reason why a single 14500 and a 1.2ohm twisted coil on a reo mini lasts me from 9am-2am :p

Thanks guys!

I use the Boges in Carto-tanks. Being the shorts (regular), the tanks I have for them hold around 2 to 2.5ml of juice. I've gotten 5 tanks of Bounty Hunter out of 1, and 3 tanks of Boba's Bounty out of 1. I'm on my 3rd tank of Banana's Foster Coffee from Ms T's and this carto is still going strong.

With the BilletBox (I WILL have one of these when they go on sale...), it's a 6ml tank. I'd say you should get 2 fills out of it with thicker juices, and 3 to 4 fills with thinner, lighter colored juices.

Nice, I can live with that. I'm guessing that one tank will last me about 2-3 days.

A friend of mine said he hasn't changed a cartomizer for 2 weeks. I don't believe him, but hopefully i get that luck hah.

I get anywhere from 1 day to 5 days out of the boges. I used lighter colored juices at 70/30. I get so irritated with these boges. when they are great they are great. when they last 1 day I get irritated. I keep threatening myself with going back to smoking!! I would hate myself if I did that. These cartos are so inconsistent. I have tried a few brands and i think boges are the best. But they sure are not what they used to be!

I'm hoping Ikenvape's stuff will be better. I've never tried them but I hear they last longer, he should be getting stock in real soon too hah

How long a carto will last depends on different things.

Darker juices tend shorten carto life.
Thicker juices tend to gunk up cartos fast.
How much you vape (everybody's different)
How much voltage you use.
Whether or not you get the carto completely filled on the initial fill.

I have been using Boge xl sr pre-punched with 2 holes exclusively for over six months. They last me anywhere from 10 days to 2 weeks unless I'm vaping something like Boba's Bounty and then you might get 2 to 3 tanks.

I fill only with a 20 gauge sharp needle and syringe with 1.5 to 1.7 ml of juice. For me that is the quickest and easiest way to fill Boges because the packing is tight. With this method I've had no bad cartos and none that went bad quickly. The only time when I first started using them that it didn't last was before I was syringe filling and didn't get the carto completely filled (saturated).

The Boge Mix 'n' Match deal at SureVapes gets a +1 from me. Can't really beat $23.00 for 25 shipped. I love Ikenvapes cartos but got real tired of crossing my fingers every day in hopes that they'd finally be available again.

You'll get bad cartos every now and then, really no avoiding that. I've had one box of bad Boges out of probably 50 or so and that was during the whole "Boge-Gate" debacle.

I use 70/30 sweet and some dark juices and rarely get less than a week before performance drops much. SR (3.0 ohms) at 4.4-4.5 volts. On average I get two weeks chain vaping Vape Dudes' Buttery Nipple all day every day.

Best carto punch I've used so far: http://www.cloudsofvapor.com/store/127-new-at-cov/1054-siam-mods-stainless-steel-carto-punch-v2.html

Awesome tip on Surevapes, I'm gonna have to place an order there really soon, thanks!

As for the punch, it looks like Cisco from AvidVaper has them in stock, so I might just drop by his place later on and pick one up. Otherwise, COV is at vapefest, so he might have some in stock there :)

Edit: Surevapes is out of stock on the Boge 3.0's. :(

You might just shoot Surevapes and email asking when they expect more. They go through a lot of them.

The punch at Avid is different than the one at COV, unless Avid has both and I just missed it. The one at COV has kind of a sleeve that protrudes from the hole. I've found that lining the bottom of the carto (not counting the threads) up with the end of that sleeve punches it in the perfect location for most tanks. It also seems to deform them less.

Bought a COV punch at Vapefest, I really like the thing so far haha.

I emailed Surevapes about it, they said it should be in soon. Signed up for updates in the mean time though.

I think carto longevity is much more related to kind of juice you vape. higher PG and light colored liquids w/no sediment are going to make a carto last longer. I have never burned out a carto....just gunked them up too bad to use because the batting gets cloggy and so does the atty inside there.
